Reviews of Damasco Mediterranean Cuisine
"The staffs were really nice. I do not recommend due to the food being so overpriced. For Lamb Chop Plate, there should have been more meat and less of the vegetables. Falafels were $1.25 each for tiny pieces, even considering California's insane inflation, this is too much. We asked for water and they charged $3.49 per Costco bottled water. Food wasn't anything spectacular. I had better Kebabs in the east coast. Lastly, they slapped in about $3.00 service fee, which I did not notice until I already paid the bills. The atmosphere was okay, they turned on the calm instrumental on the background. I will not visit again, nor will I recommend to my friends due to them being so overpriced."
"I’m half Syrian and was looking for spots to try the best middle eastern food after trying multiple in Redlands, I had one last hope I came across Damasco somehow on the internet. Last night I walked in at around 7 and welcomed by Rojah super friendly sweet guy and very engaging. He took my son and I over to the restaurant part to get comfortable and even gave us some samples. The food was the best I’ve had I ordered the chicken plate and the combo plate with a chicken wrap brought it home to my family and we loved it. Great service , clean, delicious and very welcoming people. We can’t wait to go back !"
"Very delicious Middle Eastern food. Tender and succulent kabobs. We ordered Beef kabab, Kefta kabab, and the Lamb chop plates with falafel on the side. The pita bread which came with it was soft and warm. The hummus and Tahini were really great too. It also had come with some kind of pickles and beets. Interesting. I admit that the closest to “Middle Eastern cuisine” I have eaten before has been Greek food. Honestly, I liked this better than my Greek food experiences. (This does mean one is better than the other. This is based on my experiences, ok?) We had ordered pick up. Next time will definitely consider dine-in. Friendly owner who hopes to be adding salmon and shrimp to the “kebab” menu. Clean and tasty Would have liked a printoff receipt with each item and charge, but I suppose I should have asked if I wanted it enough… but I didn’t want to be a pain, either. 9.5/10"
"Top notch Mediterranean food! It is SO authentic! Josh, the owner, sources his ingredients from the Middle East. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a family's patio at home. And they treat you like family! We got to taste the amazing Turkish coffee (it's so legit!!!) simply because he had a pot made up. As a party of four, we split the combo plate and the falafel plate, the Labneh with garlic and the Mediterranean salad. Did I mention it was top notch? So, so delicious. We all kept saying how good the food was. And it was enough for all four of us. Worth the price, worth many return visits! I think it's the best Mediterranean food I've had in the USA. That's saying something, because it's my favorite cuisine. Give these guys a visit, and you’ll want to order more hummus ;)"
"AMAZING! Don't sleep on this place! Josh, who is the chef here, is not only talented but so so kind. It was pur first time here, and I'm not sure if he could tell we were starving, but he whipped together a small sampler plate while we were waiting for our order. Not only was it plated beautifully, but the hummus, falafel, grape leaves and salad were SO GOOD! I highly recommend this place. It's takeaway, delivery, or catering. Thank you Demascos for the wonderful taste experience."
