Reviews of The Salted Pig
"Came here for brunch with my friends and the food is delicious! I got the breakfast plate and was not disappointed. The bacon slab melts in your mouth and the eggs are also really soft and creamy. Potatos are yummy. Service was great, very friendly. Only giving 4 stars because the prices are a bit high and they dont serve food between 2pm -3pm on Sunday to prep for dinner service. Understandable , but something to be aware of as a customer."
"Honestly it is way overpriced for the type of food they give us. We went out for our anniversary and it was just the two of us we got two small plates and one “big” plate and a chocolate cake and a drink it was $150 with tip included. Ridiculous pricing. The steak we ordered wasn’t even a full sized steak! It was just 5 pieces for $40! The bone marrow was just topped with sriracha and it just cheapened the dish but was $18! The chocolate cake also was very bland."
"If you're enjoying a sroll through downtown Riverside and find yourself craving something uniquely delightful, let your taste buds lead you to The Salted Pig. Tonight, I had the pleasure of indulging in their pork belly and chicken tacos, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of a culinary masterpiece! Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly balancing the zest of the freshest ingredients with the rich, savory essence of expertly prepared meats. It's like a gourmet fiesta in your mouth! The ambiance of The Salted Pig only adds to the experience, cozy yet vibrant, MUCH like the city itself. Trust me, your palate will thank you. Oh and they have Google pay, so no wallet no worries."
"I grew up eating the dishes listed on the menu at budget prices, so imagine my shock at seeing the average price of $40+ per entree. No way are the modest portions of food worth the high prices even after adjusting for inflation and profit margin. I got the brussel sprouts appetizer, which was pretty good, but the white bean kale salad that my friend and I both ordered was too sweet and bland. The white beans in the salad weren’t seasoned at all. On the flip side, my partner got the Cavatelli pasta and said it was way over-salted to the extent “it tasted like there was a pound of salt in it”. Service was decent, but for whatever reason, they brought out the salads last, even though it seems like they should take the least amount of time to prepare, considering everyone else in our party of 8 ordered entrees that required cooking. At least for the most part, we were all able to eat together. The interior of this place is nicer than other neighboring restaurants, but the steep prices for mediocre food made for a below average experience."
"FUN FACT: I came here (their old location) manyyyy years ago for my 18th birthday! With fond memories, I decided to checkout their new pretty location near Mission Inn. The decor is beautiful!! My favorite is always the macaroni & cheese! It never disappoints. The perfect amount of gooey cheese and flavor. We also tried the Salmon Laab, which I loved! It is on the sour side, but it definitely has classic Lao flavors. Reminds me of home! For my main entree, I tried the Date Night Burger. They do not skimp on any of the ingredients! Generous sized burger patty and veggies. I do wish it had more date jam though. At the end of the day, the dirty fries really stole the show! Their fries are similar style to In-N-Out fries, but topped with GARLIC CONFIT and cheese??? Sooo deliciously simple. I wouldn't spend $15+ for it... but +$3 on my entree? sure. Random... but I got three mosquito bites while eating here. Anyone else have this problem?"
