"Went here a few times when they first opened up during covid. Visited while i was back in town and i was not impressed. Bland broth, lackluster portions of meat, and just low quality. Thought that due to high review scores and having had a few years to refine their craft it would be phenomenal but was subpar. Not worth the price."

"Really good preparation, good selection, only thing missing is chicken, maybe they don't eat chicken In Vietnam? I'm not sure, only wish they had that, but everything else was great. The restaurant is clean that people are very friendly. Would definitely come back, bowls are big. None of the 3 of us finished it all with one appetizer just split between us of really good. "After several dozen visits, it was only appropriate to leave a review on how fantastic this establishment is. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your visit is the best possible. I have yet to have a dish that I did not love. The pho is outstanding. The vermicelli (#70) is my favorite dish. Visit now. You will not regret it."

"The food at Pho 81 is good. I had the pho tai, and my friend had the sauteed tofu. We both enjoyed our meals. The prices are spot on, and the place is clean and nicely appointed. On my first visit, there were no workers visible when I first got there, and I didn't know if I should order at the counter or wait to be seated, or what. I had several awkward minutes of not knowing what to do before the guy came out and saw me. Also, I wasn't given a spoon with the soup, and the spoon I got when I went up and asked for it was not a pho spoon, it was a regular cereal spoon which was far too small to use properly, and it took forever to finish the broth without picking up the bowl and drinking it Viking style, which I wouldn't normally want to do. So I wouldn't say that the service was off, but maybe it was a little glitchy. I'll be back, and I'm sure they'll nail it next time, at which point, I'll revise my review. Edit: on a subsequent visit, again, the food was great and the location is clean and nicely appointed. The staff was on point this time. I enjoyed my visit."
