Smart Tech Appliance Repair

"Let me start by saying I try to support local biz where I can. If I could give no stars I would have. First trying to understand the receptionist with the dog barking apparently right next to her should have been the first clue. Second, I had to say everything 2-3 times. Not embellishing. She tells me they can come out and do the repair as I am in Cameron Park. I tell her the dishwasher is under warranty and she says no problem as we work with Maytag. I give her all the info. serial # and model # etc. she gives me a window of 12-4pm today. No specific time and she will send out emails the day before to confirm. No emails ever showed. It's 4 and the guy still hasn't shown. Dave show up at 410 and stays less than 5 minutes before he is out the door with my cash. Doesn't even leave a receipt after I told the girl I was paying in cash. Dave shows up and has no idea there is a warranty and no way to leave a receipt. Takes the money and explains to the wife that we need a pump and a washer but another repair company will be able to help when we reach out to Maytag. So my wife sits around for 4 hours, no emails the day before, Dave is here less time than he was actually late, doesn't fix anything, no receipt. If you go with this company you are wasting time and hard earned money. I hate to leave reviews like this but this place is a rip off and a terrible business. None of the other reviews are recent so maybe something changed but I encourage potential customers to go with a more reputable company and avoid this scamming pos business."

"In all ways Tony was prompt, on time, courteous and best of all knowledgeable about my appliance. Tony knew what he was doing and fixed the problem quickly—demonstrating things that madethe appliance more efficient. Exceptional job A+++"

"Thermador refrigerator was not cooling. Called Smart tech, the only company I could find in the area certified to service Thermador, and they sent Rick the next day. Rick determined quickly that the problem was the compressor, a new one would have to be ordered and that would take a few days. In the meantime, he figured a way to get the existing compressor to work on a temporary basis so that we would have refrigeration! He did a very thorough job installing the new one and checking out the system to make sure there were no other issues. He was very friendly, enjoyed talking with him and he gave me some good information regarding the warranty on the compressor. Refrigerator has been running like new since he fixed it!"

"It was unfortunately a terrible experience trying to work with this company! Living "in the country" in the area, I would not recommend this Auburn based company. First off, scheduling was a nightmare with their "automatic system" that just made matters worse, and then the directions weren't followed when noticed for arrival to the location, and that started an awful 15 minutes of "service" on our dishwasher and oven with so much attitude and rudeness, and strange personal questions! I was shocked throughout the appointment at our house and still didn't get any of the issues fixed! When later speaking with the owner of the business of the issues with the service appointment and the appliances, I received no follow up from the business, and no call back for assistance, as I was told I would. They don't care about the customer. Difficult, rude, terrible service. I recommend you don't work with Smart Tech and go to another company that deserves your business."
