It was double wrapped… The Pastrami Burger was made to order and it was absolutely phenomenal. 1 beef patty with cheese and what seems like a pound of sliced up pastrami on a sesame seed bun. To include lettuce, tomato, pickles and thousand island sauce. I added some mustard and it was amazing. I needed a fork to finish off the deliciousness that fell off onto the wrapper. Fountain drink machine is touch-less, if you need that type of thing but the Coke tasted like Coke. Dining room was a tad busy because of the lunchtime rush but plenty of available seating. Restaurant was clean. Restrooms were clean. Parking lot was clean. Plenty of parking. More on the side of the restaurant than the front. There isn’t a driveway in the front but use either the one behind the building or by the Taco Bell. Will absolutely come back #youruberdriveronbreak"

"This place is not the Katz's deli of LA, but compared to most other pastrami sandwiches it is very good. Shaved meat with a good balance of mustard and pickles with a great quality roll. Despite what some others say about the fries, I enjoyed them. Thick cut and creamy on the inside and were piping hot. Will definitely visit again soon."

"I finally was able to go to the Hat. My friend has been raving about it. He loves pastrami and I’m trying to be more open minded when it comes to food. We got the pastrami sandwich, bbq sandwich, and chili cheese fries. The food was put in a bag and we ate inside. The place was clean and I was able to get Dr Pepper. I would definitely recommend eating here. The meat is thin which is great. There is a drive thru and enough parking."

"For the first at this location The Hat in Lake Forest is by far my favorite. As a self-proclaimed pastrami connoisseur (yes, it's a thing), I can confidently say that this place has the best pastrami in all of Orange County. I recently made the trek all the way from Vegas just to experience this pastrami paradise, and boy, was it worth it! The first bite transported me to a world where angels sing and cows roam free, blissfully unaware of their delicious destiny. It was a spiritual awakening, let me tell you. I might have shed a tear or two, but who's counting? The service at The Hat is top-notch. The staff knows their stuff and they treat you like a long-lost cousin who just won the lottery. I guarantee you'll be writing love letters to pastrami for weeks to come with a full belly and a pastrami-induced smile!"
