"If you’re looking for a nice date-night dinner restaurant, Coastal Kitchen has the menu and ambience to please. Of their starters, I’d recommend the spinach dip and salsa with chips. The beets were also a fun spin-off of a typical beet appetizer. The burger was good, not amazing — I did enjoy the hickory sauce on it. It comes with fries which pair really nicely with the spicy mayo or ranch. The crispy chicken Caesar salad was strong tasting but I loved the thinly cut chicken. It seems like the salmon and other seafood dishes are what they’re known for and I didn’t order any of those. This place is worth trying!"

"i came here for a late lunch, and it was an excellent experience. i tasted the best cheeseburger i've ever had here. it was phenomenally juicy and filled with flavor. i was seriously blown away! the french dip sandwich was also decent. on top of the excellent food, the service was also top tier! i would definitely come back. the location is right next to the coast, which is also a plus!"

"Hands down the best food in Dana Point! The Halibut was amazing and the rotisserie chicken was the best we've had anywhere! The butter cake topped of a perfect dining expierence. All the staff was genuine and super nice. Not a single critical remake to make, it's been the best food and dining experience on our trip and we cannot wait to come back!"

Our server, Blake, was not only genuinely amicable but also showcased impressive wine knowledge, guiding us through excellent recommendations. A notable mention is their reasonable $15 corkage fee, permitting up to two bottles per table - an appreciable touch for wine aficionados. The cocktails, particularly the Paloma Martini, were a vibrant, refreshing symphony of flavors. A citrusy zest provided a rejuvenating palate cleanse after a warm day, and the use of fresh grapefruit was unmistakable, all splendidly backed by a generous pour of quality rum. Moving to the food, starters like the freshly made tortilla chips paired ingeniously with a kale and cheese dip, while the warm beetroot, adorned with walnuts and orange, introduced a creative and delectable twist. The baby back ribs were a meat lover's dream, providing hearty, sweet, and succulent bites, effortlessly falling off the bone. Paired with impeccable skin-on fresh-cut chips and an intriguingly delightful slaw with ranch, the dish was an unbridled joy. Desert was a bright, punchy key lime pie, topped generously with a mountain of whipped cream, providing a zesty conclusion to a stellar dining experience. The noteworthy cleanliness, particularly of the toilets, was the cherry on top of a wonderful evening. Coastal Kitchen effortlessly earns a 5/5 recommendation. Exceptional in every aspect - from cuisine to ambiance, and most certainly worth visiting."
