"Generous portions and great flavors! Will have to come back to try their all day breakfast. Restaurant is located in a big shopping plaza in Irvine with plenty of parking."
"Loved the food! My mom had the Na Ka Oi combo with fried rice, I had the pork bowl and my sister had the beef bowl. All were flavorful and generous portions. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you come before 10:30am on weekdays, 6:30-8:30am weekends, they currently have a $2.99 pancake special which includes coffee, dine-in only. They also have a Monday chicken lunch $6.99 special. Only small issue was the torn upholstery on one of the bench seats."
"Came during lunch on Saturday after a failed beach trip. Usually when I crave Hawaiian style, I go for garlic shrimp, Kalua pig, or beef. The coconut shrimp appealed to me the most, but I wanted a mixed platter, so I chose No Ka Oi with fries and green salad. Green salad and shrimp were excellent: salad was crisp with ample dressing, and shrimp had a great coconut aroma and flavor without having too much breading. Fries were also very good: not greasy, crispy outside fluffy inside steak cut. Salmon was good, but could have been more moist; I added some sauce to mine. The BBQ chicken was only okay: the texture was halfway between jerky and grilled. I would have preferred it more moist, because trying to reheat it in the microwave only dries it out further. I ate outside, which was fine for shaded seating, but high tables. Inside also has seating, but is unremarkable. I recommend the shrimp and salad, but not the chicken. I’ll probably try beef next time!"
"Very enjoyable experience dining at the Hawaiian Grill. The combo loco moco was fantastic, how has no one thought of providing all three meats at once before? The flavors together was superb. Highly recommended!"
