Reviews of bb.q Chicken Quail Hill (Irvine)
"My wife was craving Korean fried chicken. She was so happy when she got her Korean fried chicken. As for myself, I was happy she was happy, and I love the ambiance of this plaza's outdoor seating area at night. Indoor seating in this place in particular seems not so pleasant."
"Their real closing time is 9:30. I'm fine with a cutoff for orders, but it really needs to be posted so you don't walk in on the crew cleaning up, and especially shouldn't walk in to hear the person at the front rudely tell you they're closed without looking up from whatever they were writing when the sign says 10. I also wouldn't have any problem if they politely apologized and said sorry, but there was no apology until I pointed out their posted closing time, to which the person at the front didn't even look up again and just said "yeah, sorry." No you're not. Don't patronize someone walking in who doesn't know. Post a sign."
"It’s okay. Not among the best Korean chicken I’ve had, but not bad either. The breading is very savory. The inside of the actual chicken is tender, but it lacks flavor when you bite into the actual center of the meat. It is the best I have found in the area, but that’s not saying much. I would visit again, but I’m not dying to visit like other Korean chicken places I’ve visited. They’re decent."
"I got the gangjeong chicken lunch special and it was very tasty. I was a little late to pick it up so it wasn’t super crispy but the flavor was so good I didn’t mind. The fries are also really good. Overall it was a good value and super tasty so I’ll be back for sure :)"
"Good chicken! Been here twice, the first time I got the secret spicy flavour and the umami flavour was way too strong for me. The second time I got the Galbi seasoning and that was great, so I'm not sure if certain flavours are just way more intense (kinda salty too) or if it was just a one off thing. The fries are REALLY good, the the chicken itself is really delicious."
