"The yelp wait list is soooo off! Said the wait time was 15-20 minutes but it was actually over 1 hour. So just be aware for peak busy hours. The food was overall good. The golden prime beef noodle soup was spicy not like instant spice but the shocking surprise after spice, so might not be good for young children. We were so happy to order the cucumber appetizer to help balance the carb overload and fried food. I think this place is popular due to the reasonable prices compared to the high end restaurants at South Coast Plaza."

"Food and service were top notch. The place is medium sized and was packed the whole time for a Wednesday lunch, although we were seated very quickly. Really enjoyed the spicy xlb."

"The store was a bit chilly, but didn't bother me much. The store felt unpretentious and the food was excellent. We ordered the spicy xlb, pork&shrimp xlb, potato shrimp, wontons, and pan-fried dumplings, and two jasmine teas. Total before tip was $58, which is very reasonable. All the food was delicious, but my personal favorites were the spicy xlb and pan-fried dumplings. The pan-fried dumplings had delicious filling that was very juicy, and the skin had a satisfying chew and texture."

"10/10 my favorite (and so far only) place I enjoy getting 小笼包 (xiaolongbao) in SoCal. The skins are thin and delicate - the perfect thickness, which allows the full flavor profile of the soup to be savored. The spicy xlb are the best and most flavorful, so don’t skip out on them. I have lived in SoCal for 3 years and tried numerous dumpling places throughout LA, OC, the 626, and San Diego, but none compare to these, which are reminiscent of my favorite dumplings in SF, so I was always disappointed. I’m so happy to finally have a go-to place. The other items on the menu are well worth getting too. The menu is fortunately not too extensive, so you know they specialize, but there’s also a good variety. I especially recommend the fried mantou and beef roll (not pictured). The portion sizes are generous for the price point and will leave you craving more. They don’t take reservations and the waitlist is closed on Yelp, but if you go earlier in the evening, there isn’t much of a wait."
