Reviews of SHABU HARU
"We ordered 2 pots on Sunday night, the Crab on Fire doesn’t taste as good as before. They also raised the prices. Meat quality was good. Came with veggies that are 1 time refill only. 2 people with 2 soup bases and 2 trays of meat total to almost $100. If you like spicy, ask for hot drops."
"Came by on a Tuesday and thought we would try the AYCE this time around. Don’t usually like AYCE because I tend to over do it, but the price is rreasonable and the premium options were tempting. Having the option for two broths, including my fave the fire crab, zabuton and wagyu rib eye would have been enough but the premium appetizers were also really great. Soft shell crab, fresh oysters with ponzu but especially the wagyu sushi made it truly worth while. Service was again on point and may have to ask for seating at the bar more regular since there is always someone passing by to take your order or refill our drinks. What I learned this time around. Pork bone broth made spicy is just as good aaa my fave the fire crab, but didn’t really need both. The broths are so good, i hardly use the dipping sauces which are better than most shabu places. My GF had the spicy miso and tomato she definitely preferred the spicy miso which is her fave, but always had wanted to try thE tomato, so check. It was tasty, but a little too sweet for our taste. Zabuton and wagyu were definitely premium cuts and worth every penny, but for a basic week night dinner, probably more than we needed so will be back to our regular order next time around. We drive a long way to come here, so usually stop by only when in the area, but we’ll worth it. Only wish it were closer to home or work so we can come by more often."
"Tuesday at this restaurant is all you can eat. Lunch is price at $19 and dinner at $24. The restaurant uses yelp for reservations, so, I recommend taking a look at the app to see if reserving in advance can save some time. The environment of the restaurant is okay, hot pot soup base tastes good, and the meat is pretty good as well. I definitely come back on Tuesday for lunch."
"It was an absolute pleasure to dine at Shabu Haru. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of great specials. Portions are very big so you will leave full and happy. They have great drink selection including sales, soju and beer. Appetizers are really good! Meats are excellent quality and their presentation is impressive. Souo broths are amazing. You can tell they put a lot of work and care into the broths. Veggies come pre-arranged in a bowl with was very nice and added to the presentation and experience. Lota of sauces and extras to accompany the meal. I love the decor, atmosphere and music! Fun place to eat."
"Showed up here in a Wednesday night around 8 PM and didn't have to wait at all which was great. The place is located in a plaza filled with other surrounding restaurants. When entering, I noticed only 4 tables were filled so we sat down immediately. For the broth, I decided to order the fire crab (+4) and a regular size chicken for the meats. I guess we had gotten a free upgrade being that it was during the week. The server brought out the vegetables in a bowl which consisted of noodles, tofu, lettuce, and other greens. The broth was deliciously flavored with a nice undertone of spice and seafoodness. There were two pieces of a crab within the broth. The server never asked me if I wanted any spicy drops which was okay because the broth had a level of spicy that was just right for me. The chicken platter had four balled up amounts of ground chicken and about 8 slices of thin chicken. These cooked fairly quick with the vegetables. Dipping and smothering the pieces of meat and vegetables into the sesame sauce, it was deliciously incredible. After finishing most of the meats and vegetables, I decided to place the remaining vegetables into the broth along with the noodles, then after being cooked, I now had my noodle soup to finish it off. The service here was great and the prices were very reasonable. My total came out to $43 with my girlfriend ordering the beef plate."
