"Larson Restaurant in Laguna Hotel is a fantastic place for a breakfast treat. The setting is both fancy and cozy, making you feel right at home. The avocado toast here is amazing. It's crunchy and the avocado is super creamy. They add some seasonings that really make the flavors pop. Their omelette is just as good. It's light and fluffy, filled with fresh ingredients that are really tasty. Every bite is full of flavor. Plus, they serve it with jam, which is a sweet surprise and tastes great with the toast. Don't forget about the latte – it's smooth and rich, a perfect morning pick-me-up. The service is top-notch too. The staff are friendly and really know their stuff, making the meal even better. Larson Restaurant is definitely a five-star spot. The avocado toast, omelette, and latte are all delicious, and the atmosphere and service are excellent. It's a great place for a special breakfast or just to treat yourself."
"The swordfish sandwich was very tasty although the bun was a little too fluffy for my personal liking. With that said I would still order it again. Had the wontons as an appetizer and surprisingly good for a non Asian restaurant. The fries the food came with here quite tasty too! It is a little expensive but you’re in the OC, it’s part of the experience lol. Enjoy it!"
"Great ocean view, food is ok, nothing surprising, a place I will revisit even just for the view, but the service will talk me out of it. We came the place serval times without reservations all worked great, but this time we arrived around 1.20pm and the front desk girl was like ‘no, I still have reservations come in, cannot take you unless you take in door seat’. And I was like it’s ok, we can wait. And she was like she did t know the estimate time until another girl looked at the table and said can take us in. Girl you need to understand the only thing this place is better than other place is the outside oceanview, I didn’t come here bc your food were attractive. The funny thing was, many tables were empty that time when we walked to our table, and they remained empty, not taken by anyone till the time we left. And what’s more was that more ppl were finishing their meals, which made more outside tables become available. The server was nice, but the girl at the reception was not nice at all, didn’t know where the attitude came from. I understand there were ppl making reservations, but she didn’t offer option even we said we can wait. And from what I saw that day, no reservations as she mentioned ever came in."
"Food was bland, service was mediocre but our main strife was the bill. We had eaten there with our friends, so upon further inspection of the check, we had notice a "surcharge" of 5%. When we asked our server what it was, he said it he responded "it's a kitchen junk fee, and it's mandatory for all LA restaurants to have it now..." regardless we had asked him to remove it to which he went ahead and did. It's pretty funny for them to charge a hidden fee and and not mention it. Granted we seldom drank alcohol, but if we had we would've never noticed it and just paid it. No, the hidden "surcharge fee" does not go into gratuity. Super shady for a business to be doing this, at a hotel at that. Beware, super scam but they’re not slick."
