"I've known Fortune Cookies since it opened in Los Alamitos a couple of decades ago. It's now in Seal Beach, just a few blocks down from the original location. I've always liked their philosophy of being a "healthy" Chinese restaurant. Some people say that, because of that, the food is a bit on the bland side. Well, maybe they aren't overly aggressive flavors, but I actually do like them. And I think that their Mandarin Chicken with Eggplant is absolutely delicious! Anyhow, in these times of crazy prices, FC still gives you a lunch special for 10 bucks that includes a spring roll with salad, your choice of rice, your choice of soup, and one entree. Hard to beat that!"
