"Food is ok. Nothing to get excited about. The best time to go is after the breakfast rush which is never heavy but the staff here has a really hard time keeping on top of the orders. In truth, the service is so slow and poor that this is always last on my list of places to eat lunch because of how bad the staff is. All the ladies are slow. The oldest lady is sweet but the language barrier is an issue. The other slightly younger lady that's there is rude, dumb, and entitled. She won't take your order how you want it she makes it how she thinks you want your food. I once asked for a breakfast burrito with fries on the side. After almost an hour of waiting I got a burrito with fries inside it. Not what I asked for and she insisted on arguing with me that it was my fault because someone else who sounded like me ordered that once before. The owner is one of the biggest fools I've encountered. Talking to him is difficult. The guy is always acting like he's got a full house when it's usually just 6 people. You would think that he would be able to handle the pressure after so many years but he's all over the place. Don't you dare ask for no cheese or some other small modification it just confuses him and he'll just skip you again and again while people who ordered giant breakfasts get served first. Prepare to be mansplained to about your order and a small history lesson when you have any questions. Example: Q: Does the burger combo come with pickles? A: We've been making the burger the same way since the 90's and it's been that way since my since blah blah blah. Any time I can I skip this place and go to Fantastic Burgers down Cherry Ave I do and I never regret it."

"First timers here. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by the owner and showed up how the ordering works. I’m sure he sensed we were new cause we were looking around of course. Owner was super polite. You order up front and then you pick your own place to sit and they bring it to you. Ambiance was great and all the workers were great too."

"The food here is very good & portion sizes are plenty. Even though this is a place you order at the counter, then sit down. They are very attentive & check to see if there's something you need. I'm going back. Their specialities are satisfying there's always leftovers to take home. This place is busy & they have a nice parking lot. The people that work here are so friendly & nice!"

"The people there are great and I love how familiar I feel walking in. The issue is the food and the preparation. Firstly, they don't really listen. I ordered a hamburger and emphasized no cheese but still got cheese. It was so stressful but it was what it was. Their fries are not thoroughly cooked and they lack any seasoning. It's a bland mess. I have to emphasize that I like mines to be seasoned but when I get back they are absolutely horrid. The bacon is stale and overcooked. I see that they cook it in bulk and that's absolutely not my style. I'm sure I could ask them to cook it to order, but I feel that should be the policy. I'll wait for perfectly cooked bacon that isn't sitting around waiting to be bought. The spot is a neighborhood staple but they honestly have to slow down and take their time to get all the food perfect. Impressions matter."

"Food: I ordered a regular hamburger and chili fries. The hamburger had a thick patty with fresh veggies fillings, and a toasty bun. The chili cheese fries were a huge mound of crispy fries, zesty chili, and cheese, on top of it all! Plenty of options sandwiches, soups, salads, shakes, burritos, steak, breakfast, and dinner plates. Service: The the staff was extremely welcoming. Had a nice conversation with the cashier. My food came out with speed and accuracy. Final word: one of my favorites in Long Beach. Great burger stand with many options. Will come back!"
