About Us

UOVO | Marina Del Rey is a food-centric restaurant located at 4635 Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey, California. Specializing in iconic pasta dishes such as carbonara, cacio e pepe, bolognese, and amatriciana, half of our founding team hails from Italy and has spent years researching and traveling to discover the best versions of these classic dishes.
Our dedication to authenticity in Italian cooking is evident in our recipes, which are based on those from the very best restaurants in Italy. Some chefs have even allowed us to work with them in their kitchens to learn the recipes firsthand.
Our quest for the best pasta led us to Bologna, where we found the epicenter of fresh pasta. Unable to replicate the pasta in the United States, we decided to think outside the box and began making our pasta in Bologna and overnighting it to our restaurant. This innovative approach sets us apart from other Italian eateries.
We pride ourselves on being closed on major holidays such as Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, with early closures on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Join us at UOVO for an authentic taste of Italy with our fresh pasta made in-house in Bologna.

"I enjoyed dining at this delightful Italian restaurant in Marina Del Ray last night, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Despite a one-hour wait for a table, the anticipation was well worth it. The hostess efficiently took my phone number, assuring me that she would text when our table was ready, and faithful to her word, she did. We decided to get the Cheese & Truffle from their tasting menu ($37 per person). The Yellowtail Crudo and the Tagliatelle in truffle sauce were fantastic, flavorful, and fresh. Each dish was prepared with care and expertise, making the wait between courses a minor inconvenience easily overlooked in light of the exquisite flavors. Additionally, we indulged in an extra dish and were not disappointed. And let's remember the grand finale - the Tiramisu al cucchiaio - a perfect conclusion to an outstanding meal. I must commend the impeccable service we received throughout the evening. From the moment we arrived at the final bite of dessert, the staff ensured our comfort and satisfaction, earning a perfect 10 out of 10 in my book. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience. Free easy parking."
"I asked to be seated somewhere warm, not too close to the outdoor sitting, but we were seated outdoors and our group was getting cold quickly. We wanted to have something warm to drink because it was cold, but they don't have anything. Not even hot water. The entire restaurant was so dark and we could barely read the menu. The man seated beside our group was holding a phone flashlight the entire time while eating his pasta. Pasta was not amazing. And the dessert tiramisu was very terrible."
"Super food, super view, awesome prices. This is probably the best pasta (authentic) in all of LA. They did what so many Italian restaurants just don’t get, kept it simple and real. The pasta is made in Bologna (for those that know the region that city is in is the food hub of Italy), super fresh, clean and delectable. The portions are correct, another thing other Italian restaurants get wrong. Pasta is to be eaten within a reasonable portion. Anything over 150 grams uncooked is highly excessive. They got this right. If you love pasta, come get it here and you won’t regret it. Btw, for the quality, taste and location the prices are absolutely great. Have been several times and will be back many more. And try the crema parmigiana! Enjoy.."
"Wow. This was a great spot for some Italian food. We got the cheese and truffle tasting menu and it did not disappoint. It is meant for 2 people, but we shared it between 3 and all three of us were full after the meal. You get 1 starter, 3 pastas, and 1 dessert. My personal favorite was the truffle pasta. The flavor in it was amazing. They said that a lot of their ingredients are shipped in overnight from Italy. DO NOT look past UOVO if you’re looking for a good pasta meal!"
