Reviews of TRUFIBER
"I purchased a carbon fiber shifter bezel from Trufiber a month ago. Everything was fine, fitment was great, and looked really cool and appreciated the authenticity of the part. Then I noticed about 2 weeks ago, the carbon fiber started to warp or delaminate near the shifter boot areas around the sides. Their website specifically states it is coated with UV protection. It’s been hot where I love but nothing above 95° and that shouldn’t cause a part to start corroding. I paid a few hundred dollars for this part, so I expect it to hold up in everyday environments like my stock bezel did. THEN, I reach out to them, send them pictures of what I’m dealing with and if they can help reconcile me in some way for what has happened. They say to allow 48 hours for a response back. It has now been 8 days and nothing. I sent an email today and no reply as of yet. If this is what it takes for this company to start treating customers right, I will do it. I have attached pictures of the piece so you can see what I am talking about. There is a bit more than what is pictured but that is most of the problem area TRUFIBER TEAM, if you want me to update this review, do something about my issue. UPDATE: They agreed to give a full refund for the product after it has been destroyed."
"I read through all the reviews and was a bit reluctant to order a hood as there aren't a ton of reviews for Trufiber online and there are enough negative to scare me but I have to say I could not be happier. I talked to Victor before my order shipped he assured me if there was any damage that they would be able to help, all I can say is before you sign to accept the package either open the package and inspect or take video of you opening to support a claim if the shipping company won't let you inspect. In my case they would only let me if there was visible damage to the package which there was. I opened the package before signing for it and it was so well packaged and padded that I think it would have been hard to damage it if you wanted to. They also sent some face masks as a bonus during this pandemic, thanks Trufiber. The fit on my 03 cobra with the 03-04 cobra heat extractor hood was perfect no issues whatsoever. Shipping was extremely fast expected to have to wait three weeks I got the hood in one. If you are on the fence do yourself a favor order and then put a review online so others know you had a good experience. Keep these guys in business so there's still places left to go to to order parts like these that are at reasonable prices."
"Don't Buy from Trufiber. I purchased a hood and spent around 700 bucks with shipping to get my hood. When the hood arrived at the body shop that was working on my car no one was there to inspect the hood. When the body man arrived back to the shop we were able to inspect the hood. The box looked in great shape and the hood well packaged. We unpackaged and found the hood completely broken through the entire hood. I sent the pictures of the hood and box to TruFiber to get a new one shipped. They told me because it wasn't inspected upon delivery there was nothing they could do except for offer a discount. They wanted to charge me another 450.00 to ship another hood. We went back and forth as there was nothing I or the shop could do to inspect the hood because of when it was delivered. Trufiber was very unwilling to help a customer out and now I am out 700.00 and have a shattered hood."
"Got my hood and grill from them and they were perfectly fine. No issues or complaints from me . 6 complaints shouldn't stop you from buying anything from this company. Most of the time we as consumers only leave reviews when we don't get what we want. They obviously make good products and most customer service interactions go well or this company would be out of business or have more than 6 reviews. There was a miscommunication when I bought my hood. They had them as" in stock" but they didn't have any so my hood didn't ship when i was expecting it. I called and they found one that had a declined payment and sent it to me."
"I work for a large collision center in Texas. We purchased a hood for a customers car. Received the hood packed very well and damage free. Went to prep the hood and it had several low spots and was slightly wavy. Was expected being that it was fiberglass. Prepped the hood exactly like the instructions they provided said to do then repaired the low spots and wavy spots by typical fiberglass repair procedures. Painted hood and installed with no issue. Customer returned about month later with a blemish beginning to show across the front of the hood directly above the underlying structure of the hood. Photographed the problem area and spoke with Junior at Trufiber. After he spoke to his R & D department they determined that its not fault of the hood, but with our ,prep. We followed their prep to the letter and there was no blemish when the vehicle left our facility. The fault clearly lies in the construction of the hood. There was no attempt to come to an agreement, just straight up that it was our fault, and we did something wrong in the prepping procedure. I believe that our prep and paint department that paints hundreds of vehicles every month has more experience determining whether the flaw was in our prep vs. that of the product itself."
