"Excellent food! I had the Korean short rib tacos, so good! Chatted with the person who took our order they made their own kimchi with less spice and a little sweeter than the usual recipe. It was soooo good! The person I went with had the Maple Texas Porkchop, and also raved it was one of the best. Planning to come back again. I really want to try their beet salad (they were out)."
"Took my son to lunch here for his birthday - my first trip, his first choice! Not disappointed! I had a tritip salad (came with delicious chimichurri) and he had an impressive burger with fresh made potato chips! Great place. The owner/chef stopped by and chatted us up. Really a great place!"
"From the second we entered the restaurant we were treated like royalty. Front of house staff was very approachable. Saw that I had a golden retriever puppy and informed me of their dog friendly patio and menu to boot. This was a first. Chef Mike visited our table and introduced himself. A very tenured chef that is constantly monitoring international news and weather to anticipate supply chain Villegas with fresh seafood and produce. He uses the best of the best ingredients in his fusions creating a very unique cuisine and culinary dining experience. All in an unassuming location that is purely central coast. Inwas blown away by the Korean short rib tacos with homemade kimchi. The bread pudding for dessert certainly followed suit. So much love goes into each dish. I enjoyed watching the expressions on the faces of other customers when their dishes arrived. They were clearly as impressed as I was. Keep up the great work chef Mike and staff. This is my new go to with guests from out of town. Prices were very reasonable making this a perfect destination to impress without breaking the bank. Additionally noticed an extensive kids menu with excellent options."
"Title: A Culinary Gem with Irresistible Pork Chops! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salty Bargade, and the experience left me thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere, the service, and most importantly, the food, make this place a true culinary gem. The menu boasts a variety of tempting options, but the real star of the show, without a doubt, is the pork chops. They are simply exceptional – perfectly cooked, flavorful, and downright irresistible. Each bite is a testament to the chef's skill and commitment to delivering top-notch cuisine. Beyond the pork chops, every dish I tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste showcases the passion that Mike and the entire team put into crafting a memorable dining experience. The ambiance adds to the overall charm of the restaurant, creating a warm and inviting space that complements the delectable offerings. If you're a food enthusiast or just someone looking for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend Salty Bargade. The combination of great food and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout choice. I can't wait to return for another round of those amazing pork chops! Curtis"
"Great food, great experience. It was hard to decide what to choose. I spent a few minutes scoping out the meals of the other diners and was completely torn between shrimp tacos, fish and chips, and the ahi poke bowl. I finally chose the poke bowl and it was one of the best I've ever had. Fish was fresh and high quality. Pretty sure the greens were local Babe Farms. The very generous bowl included edamame, seaweed, avocado, cucumber, radish and crispy, non- greasy wonton strips. The dressing was a miracle. Not too salty and with the perfect kiss of wasabi. Seriously, the chef needs to bottle and sell that dressing so I can have it all the time. I could have drunk it with a straw. The chef/owner came out to see if everything was alright and spent some time chatting with us. This is my new favorite Santa Maria dining spot. The hard thing is going to be deciding if I just want the amazing poke bowl everytime or if I want to try the fish and chips or shrimp tacos, which all looked equally delicious. Chef, if you read this, the only suggestion I have is that the music was too loud to allow for conversation. Can't wait to go back."
