"There is an older guy who is super rude and definitely bad customer service Never going back to that shop ever again"
"Went to have an alternator pulley changed from old one to new one and when I asked how much after changed the owner said $20.00! When I asked why so much he explained that he had to turn the compressor on! Wow! I understand we are in recession however that was ridiculous."
"I highly recommend going here to get your car parts checked and repaired. I got good honest and fair service with no BS. Here is what my experience with Rayes Alternator was like, and why I recommend them. I took my car to the local Auto Parts store to get my battery checked because it was not charging. The auto parts store told me my alternator was bad because it was only charging at 9 volts instead of the 13.5 volts or better needed to charge my battery and operate all the electrical components of my car. I took my alternator out to get it tested and repaired if needed by Rayes Alternators in Santa Ana because they have some good Google reviews. They tested my alternator and told me that it worked just fine. The person who tested it told me that the alternator did not have an internal voltage regulator but instead had an external voltage regulator. He explained to me that the reason my alternator was not charging my battery was more than likely due to a bad voltage regulator or a bad wire connection from the alternator to the voltage regulator. He took the time to explain to me how to check these items and what to look for when checking them. All this happened within 5-10 minutes from the time I walked into him business. I was only charged $20 for testing my Alternator and the instructions regarding how to check and fix the Voltage Regulator and the wire connections. It turned out to be a cheap and easy fix that only took about 15 minutes. I was able to save a lot of time and money buying only what I needed and installed the voltage regulator myself, instead of buying a new alternator that I did not need, and not having to take my car to a mechanics shop to get it fixed. I am very grateful for the free lesson from Rayes Alternators that saved me time and money."
