"DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! I asked a store “geek” to recommend the right cable hookups for my monitor, and two cables cost me $50. THEN the cables didn’t work. So I took them back to the store and was told that they have a “new” return policy that refuses ANY returns after 15 days unless you upgrade to a Best Buy annual membership. Not even store credit. The “manager” was completely uncaring and refused to take responsibility for the bogus cable referral that caused me to purchase the wrong cables in the first place. Please save your money and just get your cable on Amazon. At least Amazon accepts returns."
"Went in shortly before close to return an item and was directed to the front instead of the return center. The person assigned to help me rolled her eyes when she saw that she had to help me (this was just before close ) and then muttered something under her breath. I may delete this later because it is kind of silly to post a review after someone was rude and it isn't exactly the end of the world , but it really stood out to me how rude the best buy clerk was and it was surprising."
"I’m writing this in my car… this is how livid I am. On Sunday the 25th at around 3:30pm I enter in the Best Buy. I go around to browse at items. But, what I’m really looking for is a rode microphone. I spot a case of them and it is locked. I look around so as someone who has worked retail before - instead of just calling someone - I go to the front of the door (security) (a man with a beard in front of the door sits literally just staring at his phone the entire time… doesn’t even look at me in the face) and I ask him if he can call someone. He obliges and says they are busy but will bring someone in - and I say “no worries take your time” And then I wait. 5 min. 10 min. I’m calm. A bald guy with glasses who works there passes by, waves at his cashier friends (which makes sense) goes and chats with the guy with the beard… Sees me and I wave at him with a smile… trying to be polite as I’ve worked retail before. He states “you need help?” I say yes. He replies he will get someone over… and I wait again. I see the cashiers I see other employees coming out from behind the cashiers (back room) I see employees standing around. I see the guy (the beard guy) in the front still staring at his phone. I am livid. But I’ve worked retail before and def understand what these associates go through on a daily basis… but still some decency would be nice. I just walk up to the front and finally I say, “hey man what happened? I’ve been waiting for so long?” He finally looks up from his phone and doesn’t apologize. Instead says, “I thought I sent someone… they didn’t show up?” He takes his microphone to call… but I think I had enough. I just say “you know what. it is fine…” and I leave. I don’t know if this review will do anything… probably not but I just need to vent out my frustration. I don’t even write reviews… It has been a day and this was the last thing I thought I would have issues with - How can a man who works at Best Buy treat me like how he treated me while just gallivanting on his phone? Again - thanks for listening. I didn’t want to be that guy - but here I am."
"two bad experiences here. 1. went to buy my mom a new laptop. walked in and asked an associate for help finding a specific one. he told me to search the floor for a box and just grab it. no problem - i did that but could not find the laptop. i asked if he could help look as it said there were several in stock, he refuses and just tells me it should be on the floor just go look harder. I end up just picking a different laptop and check out. 2. unfortunately several weeks later, my mom finally opens the laptop to find the bottom plastic is broken and the screen has dead pixels all over. the laptop was a gift and i do not live close to my parents so that was my fault as the consumer for not checking it before it sat for several weeks. i knew i was outside of the return window but i figured i would go in to see if there is anything they can do. customer service woman who is laughing and talking with other associates and ignoring me in line waiting finally helps me and just says “you’re outside of the return window. can’t help you.” she just turns around right after that and goes back to talking, as if i interrupted her. I understand i am not in the return window but the least you could do is give me an honest 2 minutes to see if we can find a solution. never going back to this best buy. i like shopping in person generally, but not here. if you hate your job, i’m sorry for you but don’t take it out on the customer."
"If I could give negative starts I would. My dad bought an Asus Graphic card as my brother’s Christmas Gift. When we opened it, it turned out to be a completely different graphic card and it was used. You can see in the pictures how the Asus graphic card is supposed to look and the one that we actually got. It is even dirty! We went back to the store, of course, to get the actual graphic card that my dad bought and that turned out to be a waste of time. The manager at the Sherman oaks store, Veronica, is a horrible person. She ignored my dad and refuse to offer any solutions. She refuse to even give the phone number to corporate. He payed for a $700+ graphic card and got a cheap, used card. Best Buy refuses to give him a refund, basically stealing his money. Horrible treatment for a loyal customer of 11 years. Veronica sucks."
