"I really like this place for both excellent house-roasted coffee and espresso as well as eats. It has a great relaxed vibe. The low key classic jazz playing in the background kept my feet tapping as I ate. The owner, who was in the shop, developed his blend and roast for the coffee over many tastings. And the espresso is delicious, flavorful and smooth. I had the burrito with eggs, cheese and fries for lunch. It’ll work for either breakfast or lunch. The pastries look amazing in person. Will return to have one w another shot of espresso. The staff is friendly and welcoming. UpDate: Returned for the pastries! They’re all baked in house. Had the chocolate croissant aka pain au chocolate. It’s delicious, crispy, buttery and just the right amount of sweetness in the chocolate."

"In San Diego for 2 days to attend a conference. Found this (what I would call) boutique café while out for a very early morning walk because my mind and body was still on Eastern Standard Time. Also because I was searching for a small business coffee shop (and mostly because I did not want to contribute my money to Starbucks). It started to rain and while heading back to my hotel I found Tiger Cafe. Service was excellent, the coffee was perfectly on point, food was prepared fresh, and delivered hot and promptly. I would go back and therefore I recommend. The menu options were just right and not a bazillion items to choose from, which I liked. I would probably try something else though if I ever return to San Diego. I had the breakfast burrito. I was pretty good, but I sat with other people from the conference and their food choices made me a bit jealous lol."

"What a fantastic café. Delicious food that is beautifully presented, and the aesthetics of it live up to the taste. They also have a fresh pastry selection. I usually get hot tea as my breakfast beverage of choice - it was a delight to see that my tea was actually brewed and not a tea bag. The service was very courteous, kind, thorough and friendly. Highly recommend this place."

"The matcha latte was the best that I have found in the area so far. ❤️ The chamomile tea was quite pricy for what it was but good. I enjoyed the salad. I also had a quarter of the chicken club which was delicious."

"Tiger cafe was a great place to try, I'm really happy we ran out to grab a cup of coffee from this shop, here is why you will too: 1. Coffee is good! The staff did a great job making our drinks. Overall good taste of the coffee and it hit the spot in the morning. 2. Friendly people and really cool atmosphere: I love the feel of this place, it is well designed and it seems like the people who run it really care. Super clean too. 3. Great location, easily accessible if you are staying in a hotel in the surrounding area. We walked over a few blocks and got our drinks in no time. 4. Very fast. There is something about coffee on the west coast that they have right. Making coffee as fast as they do and still having it taste good is remarkable. Definitely professionals here.
