"Sat outside on this lovely day, had some shade. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. The food portions are good but not overly large. You won't be hungry or over stuffed. I love the variety of fun non alcoholic drinks."

"Food was good, got the chilaquiles and the french toast. A bit overpriced for the portions. The place is cold, no heating and can get pretty chilly in winter."

"Great food, pretty atmosphere, strong drinks. This is a restaurant that knows exactly what it is. A fun shabby chic place next to the beach with a small but upscale menu and pretty views. It has both single seats and table seats available for people watching. Indoor and outdoor. The menu had a lot of good stuff and while expensive you are in La Jolla. You get what you get. Husband got the plain eggs benedict and I got the crab blat. My bread was made with fresh rosemary sourdough and heirloom tomatoes and the crab was okay. It all came together very nicely. I got to people watch and enjoy some seagulls cruising for crumbs. I got an Irish coffee and boy was it strong. Made it easier to get refresher top offs of coffee which was offered at least twice. It was only a quick lunch but we got checked up on several times to make sure everything was good and there were TVs showing various sports games and some light cheerful music in the background. I would absolutely go back again"
