Giovanni's Take-Out Express

"There is parking on the street. It is pet friendly. Patio seating in the front or back of restaurant. We opted to order at the takeout express which is very convenient. They got my hubby's order mixed up. He ordered the fried scallops and fries. Instead he was given fries only. The server at the pickup was confused when my hubby returned the wrong order. He had to tell him several times and showed the receipt. The scallops were over cooked and small portion. Not worth the high price My hubby was very disappointed. However my salmon poke and clam chowder were delicious. We ordered grilled hamburger patty for our doggies."

"Was recommended by a couple of friends. Got the fish and chips and I upgraded my chips to the garlic fries and let me tell you what.... The Fries were double fried and the had the perfect amount of garlic and Parm on them. It was by far the best garlic fries I've ever had. My wife got the the clam chowder in the bread bowl and it to was delicious. Also got a side of garlic bread and it was made from the inside of the garlic bowls. It was good on its own, but We came back the next day and my wife liked my fish and chips so much, she got that, while I got the fishwich. The fishwich was messy, but really good. It reminded me of the the fish sandwiches that my dad and I would get when I was back home when I was little. I would definitely order it again. Of course, the wife and I, both upgraded to the garlic fries and again they were perfect. I would highly recommend coming here if you are ever in the area. They can get a busy and most people will use the line right near the water, but there is another window on the other side away from the water on the street side. The menu isn't as big, but they have all the staples. Will definitely be coming back here."

"I was visiting Morro Bay and had to make a stop at Giovanni’s for its seafood. Initially we wanted to stop by for lunch and tried out the seafood platter when we realised we were too early (10am) and the hot foods weren’t available yet. However, their shop is open and the lady was very kind with attentive service although she seemed to be preparing the shop for service. We grabbed a dozen of fresh raw oysters ($20) and opted to have it opened too (additional $6, which is reasonable, since opening oysters is kinda difficult). Loved the freshness of the oysters and loved the service and the experience we had."

"We ordered ahead on the Google maps website and the food was ready right on time. The scallops were fantastic, really enjoyed the cocktail sauce. The magic poke is really good too, they add a bunch of stuff like pineapples and seaweed!"
