Reviews of Mameya Coffee Roasters
"It is what it says. Mameya —beans I felt that they are strictly “roaster” not really in business for serving drinks. I ordered cafe latte but they gave me cold brew with milk. Their cold brew wasn’t bad at all but they didn’t explain it to me. Their food item is very limited as well. Where they shine is their roasted beans. Your order is roasted right where you stand. I tried their coasts rica beans and it was awesome. If you are looking for fresh roast in the area then they are your guy."
"This is a specialty roaster with top quality beans available and roasted on demand. They offer pour overs and cold brews, which are the best I’ve ever had in the US. They are very knowledgeable about coffee and make great suggestions, so if you’re not sure what to get, they can point you in the right direction. Service here is stellar and makes me look forward to coming back every time. Truly a hidden gem in the OC. If you like coffee, this place is a must try. P.S. it can get very (I mean VERY) busy on weekends, so plan around that if you can."
"Immerse yourself in the serene world of Japanese coffee at this unique spot. The meticulous artistry of pour-over brewing is evident in every cup, resulting in a delicate yet robust flavor profile. The minimalist decor and tranquil ambiance create a haven for coffee enthusiasts seeking both quality and tranquility. From cold brews to precision-crafted pour-overs, this Japanese coffee haven offers a tasteful journey through the nuanced world of coffee. They have an amazing selection of beans that you can get to go which they roast for you The baristas there create a great ambiance and give amazing service."
"Like others have said, this is an excellent specialty roaster. Going by what I experienced in Japan with coffee roasters, when I found out about Mameya, I knew I had to trek out to try it. Their cold brew might have been the best I've ever had, no sourness or bitterness. Just smooth with a hint of natural sweetness. Purchasing a bag of beans that is roasted on the spot is just plain awesome. Price is very reasonable too, $19 for a 12oz bag. You can pick from a variety of beans and multiple roast levels."
"This is a specially coffee roaster. Which offers not only excellent coffee, but coffee beans. You can only buy coffee here. No food. But honestly, this is the best coffee I’ve ever had. There is something to be said about offering only coffee - as they know what good coffee is all about. They do roast their beans right on the premises. You can see the roasters right behind the counter. The owner’s father is the proprietor of the Mameya Coffee Roasters in Kobe Japan. However, they are not associated with Mameya Koffee (with a “K”) in Yokohama. Really, if you are a coffee connoisseur, this is the place to come to. Worth it to even drive to - if you are a coffee specialist. I would make two suggestions… a small food offering would be nice. However this might not part of their business plan. The other suggestion might be to offer a “flight” tasting of their coffees. As they offer so many different blends, it would be nice to try each and see which really suits your taste. One thing to note - they do charge you for added cream. While I’ve never seen any other coffee shop do this, it’s not much of a concern - just don’t be taken aback by it."
