"This is a hidden gym in North County San Diego. Open for 48 years now, it is the real thing. Rita is great, the food is great, the service is great. It is more like a private kitchen than a resturant. only 5 stars because 6 starts is not available"

"An absolute gem and treasure. There's really no other way to put it. This level of home cooked food and friendly service is so rare these days that dining here simply made our month. Even calling it "friendly service" doesn't do it justice, I think "dining with family" might explain it better. Truly haven't had a dining experience like this in years. "Love the energy of the sisters who own this place, always kind and attentive. This is my go to place for Ravioli and meatballs. The meat sauce is fantastic and the ravs are the best in town. Meatballs are flavorful and juicy every time. Love the garlic bread and always way more than you can eat. The portions are amazing, I always have lunch for the next day. "This is a very cozy restaurant. It is a mom and pop shop, I had the tortellini which came with a sweet marinara sauce, and we opted to try the Italian sausage and meatball which were all very good. we also had ordered a pizza, which came fresh and hot."

"We had a great meal here this evening. We came based on recommendations for the lasagna. We were not disappointed. We ordered the lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. Both meals included a salad and garlic bread. The garlic bread was so fresh, warm and delicious. Plenty of butter and garlic on the toasted bread. The salad was ready and filling. Both the lasagna and spaghetti were tasty. The service was great. We were greeted immediately and were lucky enough to grab the last open table. Our waitress was very responsive to our needs and gracious. Such a lovely mom and pop place."
