"came out to paso robles for the weekend. after having a wonderful day, wine tasting at daou vineyard, we had made reservations at this steakhouse, and the portions didn't disappoint me. our server was phenomenal. always made sure we were good. pictures speak for themselves"
"Came in for my birthday dinner tonight with our 3 kids. They were super accommodating, great atmosphere, and the food was top notch. Sally was our server and she went above and beyond for not only my husband and I but made our kids feel welcome and was just all around amazing. My kids said she deserves employee of the month! We never go out for dinner in town but will definitely be back!"
"Where to start. The Restaurant had a very nice ambience And that will conclude anything positive I have to say about my experience there. My wife had the 1889 cocktail that she enjoyed and I had beer on tap that was 3/4 of the way full. The citrus shrimp appetizer was nothing more than a shrimp cocktail with a lemon wedge shoved in the middle. Very festively decorated with a piece of romaine lettuce. we were warned by the waitress the cocktail sauce is very spicy But after tasting it, it wasn't much more than ketchup. My wife ordered the Braised short ribs with the garlic mashed potatoes and I ordered the $51 ribeye with chimichurri sauce and fingerling potatoes. My wife's brasied short ribs weren't bad But the boxed mashed potatoes with parsley and garlic seasoning were a joke, reminiscent of what you would get from Denny's. My ribeye had absolutely no flavor and the fingerling potatoes were burnt beyond recognition. The so called chimichurri sauce was an absolute insult To Argentinians around the world and not edible. The sad part is the only good thing we had on our table tonight was the bread served for free. My wife planned this stay at this hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday and I was truly hoping to enjoy a nice dinner without having to leave. After we left I told my wife we should have just ordered pizza and stayed in the hotel room It would have saved us a $100."
"I chose to eat upstairs in the bar area. Large fireplace and TV for Monday night football. Great service and the food was pretty good too."
"MUST VISIT- a local staple, we enjoyed each bite. Our waitress Michelle was so welcoming and helpful. On Sunday’s they have a great prime rib special. Ask about the story of the Inn- parts are haunted. Go outside after dinner and feed the giant koi fish. Will definitely go back next time we are in town."
