"Clean and beautiful Boba tea shop. I’ve been looking for authentic Taiwanese boba tea shop who specializes in tea brewing. To say the least, I was beyond surprised because their tea taste so good. My favorite is the Jinxuan tea because it’s not too strong and kinda milky (without having milk in the tea). I also ordered their Signature Oolong, and it tastes really good as well. Good aroma and balances it really well when you add milk and Oolong tea jelly in it. Don’t hesitate to try. Oh they also have free samples for you to try! 10/10 recommend!"

"Good service and awesome drinks selection. Went to Hechalou on Saturday when they first opened, not that busy bc they just did a soft opening. But everything on their menu is available! I tried their Signature Oolong Milk tea and House Milk tea with honey boba and tea jelly. Their tea was strong and fragrant, but you won’t taste the bitterness of it. Boba was cooked perfectly and their tea jelly was a hit! I have never had such a good tea thus far in the US. No boba shop has ever set the standard this high until I went to Hechalou! 110/10 would recommend and go back. I also got to meet the owners, and they’re Taiwanese as well. 90% of their inventory is imported directly from Taiwan, which is awesome because Taiwan is known for their teas and bobas. Since it’s super competitive in Taiwan, bringing in directly from the source makes a HUGE difference. Glad to say I have finally found my FAVORITE boba shop!"

"I've had many boba milk tea in LA, but never have been able to find something that really tastes like the ones I've had in Taiwan. But this place makes their bobas right and you can taste the difference in their tea. We all enjoyed what we ordered!!"

"We need more tea shops like this! There are so many coffee shops that brew up some serious coffee, but it’s so hard to find tea shops that offer the same caliber product with tea. I think I’ve found the spot. One wouldn’t expect this gem of a spot to be located next to a bowling alley and a Kohl’s in the middle of Lakewood. But make no mistake, these guys aren’t messing around. Their tea leaves are imported straight from Taiwan and brewed everyday. There is nothing “instant” about the flavor— deep, rich, and not bitter. Not to mention their boba…it’s cooked to the perfect balance of chew and tenderness. The gentleman up in the front was so eager to help me out with what to order. I ended up getting the signature black tea latte with boba at sweetness level 2. Great starter drink: it’s a deep black tea tapered by the milk and sweetness of boba. All in all, this is a business that has my full support. I live in DTLA and will be swinging by every time I’m in the area. *There is ample free parking in plaza."

"The best boba shop in town which specializes in tea that’s directly imported from Taiwan! Superb service and friendly employees. I ordered their classic Taiwanese Milk Tea with honey boba and it didn’t disappoint at all! Since their ingredients are mostly imported from Taiwan, I judge their drinks based on Taiwanese standard. I was so happy that I gave them a try because the tea was so strong and good, and they make it exactly they taste so much like the tea shops in Taiwan! I’d definitely recommend anyone who’s hesitant to give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!"
