Dominic's Italian Restaurant

"Really enjoyed my time here at Dominic’s. Came here with friends during a trip to Oceanside. I’ve been to this restaurant several times before, but made it a note this time to review it properly. The staff is always been very welcoming and treat you like family. The food is decent, enjoyed the pizza and lobster bisque. The restaurant is very large and has a nice charming atmosphere to it with plenty of pictures that make it feel like a rustic Italian setting. Food - 14/20 Service - 8/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Total - 29/40"

"A healthy 4 stars. First and foremost, a shout-out to our server who was one of the friendliest servers I've met. She is also a great ambassador of her home country so kudos to you!! They are dog-friendly. We had reservations and arrived half an hour early but got seated right away. There were 3 cars in our party and we all managed to get parking in the parking lots around the pier without issue for around 8 pm. The food was very very good. We ordered a lot of things - the caprese, the mozzarella in carozza, the new England clam chowder as appetizers, and the Mediterranean salad, the lobster ravioli, penne al forno, and the cappellini al pomodaro. The best of them all was the clam chowder followed by the complimentary bread sticks. Simply delicious and an absolute chef's kiss. Everything else was also very good. I had the lobster ravioli and can attest that it was creamy with a hint of vodka sauce. My aunt couldn't stop commenting on how creamy and delicious her penne al forno was. The entrees were very pretty heavy so we got a lot of leftovers. We ended the meal with the lemon gelato and the bombe. The gelato was very lemony and fresh. The bombe was a dessert to share with chocolate, vanilla, almonds, cherries...utter delicious but we should've left more stomach space for it. All in all, this was a great place to bring family to. Their food is very good, their servers are friendly, parking isn't much of an issue and you can get your dogs! You also get a lot of leftovers. We will be back for the pizzas! P.S. if you love clam chowder, definitely order it here. P.P.S if you don't like clam chowder, try it here and you may be converted!"

"Let's start with the service, Yadira our server was amazing, she was spot on on her recommendations and made us feel welcome. The pasta, Penne Rustica was very good and I'm not a pasta fan and I truly enjoyed it. The pizza was also very good. This is a must have if your in the area. We can't wait to come back."

"Great service, authentic italian, fantastic location! Food & drinks were exceptional. The pepperoni was incredible, the spaghetti and meatballs was delicious. What I didn’t like are the following: The ambience of the lower restaurant was nasty. The bathroom was disgusting as well. It reminded me of an old bus station bathroom. We also felt rushed to bill out after we finished eating. For those reasons, I will likely never return there or recommend it."

"Lovely Italian Restaurant in a cute building. The establishment was clean and overlooked the harbor. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great food and amazing breadsticks. Portion sizes were decent. We all enjoyed our meals and would return."
