Cafe Vida

"This is a great breakfast spot in Culver City. We ordered the Chilaquiles Verdes and the Chilaquiles Rojos w/ Steak. The food was so good! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the chilaquiles were delicious. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was chic and full of life yet clean and accommodating. Our server Nick was attentive and personable! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch, and I'd go back again if I'm in the area."

"Cafe vida offers a spacious seating area both inside and out front. There are several trees to cool the area and offer shade during sunny days. I have visited cafe vida several times now for breakfast, so far the items that are a must are the chilaquiles, pancakes, omelets, and huevos rancheros. The chilaquiles bring out the notes of chile guajillo, not spicy but a pleasant note to the palate, plus it is a good sized portion. The pancakes are a must, not thick but a bit on the thinner side, one of the better pancakes out there due to its taste profile and softness, hints of vanilla complimented with the powder sugar and syrup makes it so savory but not overpowering in sweetness. Recently tried the huevos rancheros, what stood out was the salsa verde, the salsa rojas was a bit bland but the dish was overall tasty. The french toast were okay, good portion but as always their pancakes are a must. The coffee served is not the best it is okay, for this last visit the coffee was a burnt, a high temperature water burning the coffee and thus eliciting a bitter after taste. The staff here are extremely friendly and attentive, give this place a try and come support Cafe vida. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a local or visiting Culver City. "5/5 Yucatan Egg White Scramble - delicious and perfect kick 3/5 Blackened Salmon Soft (2) Tacos - only because salmon is weird fish choice for fish tacos Everything was delicious, looking forward to my next meal here. The pancakes looked so good."

"If you like healthy, clean, nutritious food.. and also love Mexican food.. THIS IS THE SPOT. One of my favorite spots in Culver City.. and LA in general Sucker for breakfast / brunch food.. and these guys deliver the best combinations.. for example, you can get two pancakes (healthy, brown rice flour and flax pancakes!) with a turkey scramble! Whaat?! The brekkie plate is also very solid.. basically everything on the menu is FIRE If you’re into smoothies, the perfect date smoothie is the business.. DELICIOUS. They’ve all the entire spectrum of juices, healthy shots.. etc.. and all of it is made fresh in-house vs. buying the bottled up stuff that was probably made days/weeks ago.. and is laden with preservatives Shout out to Zach who did an outstanding job looking after us"
