Hungry Al's BBQ

"The service is happy and energetic. The flavors are amazing. You can see the smoker when you come in the gate. It's huge and creating the finest flavors into the Brisket, Tri Tip, Pulled pork, and Chicken. The food gets a hold of you, from the first bite. The sides complement the meat. From the Mac N Cheese, BBQ and Chili beans, slaw, fries, and more. It's all great. Plus, in you want fish, then you need to munch down on the Fish Tacos. They will have you coming back for more, and more. It's just north of Gorman off the I-5, at exit 205, up about 1/4 mile, on the right. A cross the road from the trucker's parking lot of the Flying J truck stop. Just look for the Orange building, with a drawing of Hungry Al on it."

"Since I’m on keto diet I got the Tri-tip sandwich without out the bread and BBQ sauce. The meat was very tender and perfectly seasoned. Dipped my finger in the bbq sauce and it was tasty. Thanks and good luck"

"My husband, mom and I just had Hungry Al's for lunch, and it was wonderful! We tried the pulled pork, tri tip, brisket and a hot link all of which were excellent, we especially enjoyed the hot link, which was SPICY but in the best way! A true Louisiana hot link. The sides we had were coleslaw, macaroni salad and BBQ beans, again, all were great, but my favorite was the beans. They were just the right consistency, not too sweet and not too saucy, they had bits of meat mixed in. All around great first experience at Hungry Al's, will definitely be back. Wishing them all the best, what a great spot to have on the mountain!"

"Finally opened! The Tri-Tip sandwich and all the sides are very good. Some of the best I've had and I get around. Seems like a family owned buisness and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Inside and outside dining areas are on point. Worth a trip up the mountain to try. Keep up the good work Hungry Al's!"
