Pizzana 4716 Lincoln Boulevard, Marina del Rey, CA 90292

"Very disappointing experience. I am accustomed to their very busy Brentwood location and visit each time I'm in town. This trip I was staying closest Marina Del Rey and stopped in. It was early afternoon and there were only a couple of workers. The male was very nice and professional. The woman, not so much. Assuming the gentleman was the chef, I was stuck with the female as server. The gfree crust was absolutely terrible. Not sure what happened, but it seemed undercooked, yet tough. Resembling a Boboli crust. I asked if they changed recipes or if this location has a different supplier, but I was told she wasn't employed there long enough to know. I couldn't get much past one slice and asked for a box. She was darn near insisting I leave it. I told her I will take it and figure out what to do with it. When I got the bill, it then made sense why she was encouraging me leave it. I spoke with a gentleman manager who arrived just prior to my departure. I showed him how tough the pizza was to cut (and offered a slice to taste himself). He apparently removed it from my bill, which was the right thing to do. Even after the above, what most got to me was the fact that although I tipped 20% (or better) on the entire amount of the bill, including the pizza, when she printed her copy of the receipt, it seemed as though she had a look of defeat. I decided to mention to her that I did NOT take the situation out on the staff (because it may have been a product issue). Not sure she heard me because her comment was "it's to be expected", without even looking at the receipt. As opposed to asking what she meant by that, I left and went next door for dessert. Best cupcakes and customer service there, btw!!"

"What an amazing experience! I was visiting from New Jersey, wow I want pizzana to expand to east coast!! It was my birthday trip, I was completely surprised when Ricky my server brought out a candle/ cake. Please expand to east coast! Food was delicious, atmospheres was beautiful!!"

"The Brentwood Pizzana location has been in my top 5 list of Neapolitan pizza spots in LA for a few years now. I have been to the Marina del Rey location twice and it’s truly the best pizza location in the small city of MdR. The staff are non-stiff and down to earth, giving the location a casual feel. Though the ingredients are fresh and mirror what they offer at their other locations, unfortunately the pizza takes a hit on its quality due to their conventional oven and absence of a brick oven that they have at their other locations. I wish they didn’t miss the mark on this vital quality control measure. Despite the pizza not being as good as their Brentwood location with the brick oven, it’s still great."

"Pizzana in Marina del Rey rocks! Seriously, the pizza flavors are insane, and the vibe is perfect. I recommend the carnivoro if you are a meat lover! Shoutout to manager Noe Aite for making our night awesome. I will be coming back!!! If you're into pizza, this place is a winner!"
