Ancient Peaks Winery

"Wonderful experience! I remember visiting Ancient Peaks Winery years ago when it was only a tasting room. Today, the tasting room has expanded, and now includes a full restaurant with a great selection of options, as well as the wines to taste or by the glass. The wines are well made, and there are a sizable selection of different varieties (including now three Italian varieties) at a wide range of price points for all budgets. The tasting room is welcoming and friendly, and the service has always been exceptional. Santa Margarita is just 15 minutes from San Luis Obispo, but the little town seems like a throwback to another era, and you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the small town feel. Our server shared with us the interesting history of the land and soils of the Santa Margarita Ranch, including fossilized oyster shells that help deliver some of the characteristic flavors of the wines we tasted. Definitely worth a visit."

"Enjoyed a lovely flight. All 5 tastes were very good. Lunch is a must. Ordered the Santa Margarita burger with truffle fries. Burger was cooked to perfection. Hubby had the Smoked Tri Tip sandwich. Delicious. Going to be sure to come back to try more of the menu. Especially dessert."

We ordered the tri tip & the truffle fries, both out of this world. They have a wonderful variety of delicious wine & an amazing menu to choose from. Savannah & Erin waited on us and were both wonderful! I highly recommend a visit to Ancient Peaks. It will delight!"
