"Waited to be seated for 10-15 (not a big deal). Cozy atmosphere. Waitress was very nice. Soup was pleasant, warm, and filling. Didn't finish it as I didn't want to fill up. Ordered the French Dip very shortly after sitting. It took about another 15 minutes for food to arrive. Presented well, light pink roast beef, nice amount of fries. However, the roast beef was very chewy and stringy. Tried both sides of the sandwich and just couldn't get through any of it. Au jus seemed nice. I left 2 stars as the waitress wanted to make it up, but I just didn't have the time to wait for a remake or something else to be made. Just skip the French dip."

"Old school cool. Emphasis on quality with a nice menu of classic dishes. Dinner began with a generous basket of warm bread and butter. Great vegetables, perfectly fried seafood, nice steak and a broad wine list. We love to stop here on our way back to SF from LA."

Mostly come here for breakfast, but was a little surprised to find the dinners even better. A good alternative to Od's, since it may never finish their remodel."
