The Bagelry Soquel

"Casual place. Friendly service. The bagel I had with cream cheese was just okay. Bagels are on the small side compared to other places I am use to. Coffee was good. Parking is limited here but there is another lot across the street."

"I never miss the chance to get a toasted jalapeno with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Purists might quibble over the exact nature of the bagels, but I find them more than adequate."

"Best bagels in town. I order 6-12 at a time and freeze them for later use. They make excellent sandwiches as well. We love the house-baked turkey and the egg salad (which is slathered on each side of the bun, so you get 2 in 1!"

"Extremely rude staff with poor hygiene. No one had hair up or gloves and smelled foul and never once washed hands in between certain unsanitary tasks while preparing food. The food was extremely cold and stale, The restrooms are discriminated against the high school students next door considering an employee told me about it when I asked to use the restroom, as a mother of 4 that was unsettling to hear and it made me uncomfortable considering the statement was completely out of context. I have visited every location of the bagelry company and this by far was the most unprofessional expirience I had. Will not go back, I will stick to the other locations when I want a bagel from their company."

"The Bagelry in Soquel, well, any Bagelry, really. They have multiple locations, and some of their bagels are also carried in select coffee shops around town. I know Java Junction is one of them. Other Bagelry locations are in downtown Santa Cruz and in the Seabright area in midtown. They have lots to choose from. They make their own flavored cream cheeses. My favorite bagel is a toasted garlic bagel with half cheese Louise and half tomato herb. They also make some delicious soups and bagel sandwiches, or you can build your own. They have lots of add-ons available to make pretty much whatever kind of bagel your heart desires. This is a true Santa Cruz staple. They have been around as long as I have been getting bagels."
