Reviews
"Dwindling merchandise (Golden State store), empty shelves and extremely high prices for donated items. No longer is there bathroom or dressing room access and the store on Tegner refuses to replace a mirror that was broken so you could at least try on clothes outside of the dressing room. Final straw, NO BOOKS, Goodwill is now selling them by the pound to a third party. I will not donate to Goodwill."
"Where Did The Books Go?? Was Told They Now Sell Them All To A Dealer. For Many This Was The Only Place To Buy Books (Especially Children's Books) At A Reasonable Price. Isn't This What " Goodwill" Is Supposed To Be All About?"
"The staff here deserve five stars, as they are super friendly and helpful. Decent selection of clothing, but not much other than that. I'm glad that Turlock has a Goodwill, but the one in Modesto is better."
"More than annoyed. We called ahead last week to see when their student discount day was. We were told it was Thursday so we planned our trip on this day. When we went to pay, the man asked if we had any students or teachers. I replied, “yes!” He said I need your student or teacher IDs. I informed him we were homeschool, to which he replied then he couldn’t give us the discount. What?!? Why not? Because my 14, 12, 9, and 4 year old don’t look like students. He replied it had to be a unified School District ID. I shut my mouth as hard as I could because nothing good was going to come out of it and I’m taking my frustrations out here. How in the world does that make sense? Why? What would be the purpose of denying homeschool students the “student discount” because they don’t have school IDs. Extreme disappointment and frustration doesn’t even begin to cover what I’m feeling. Do better Goodwill, do better!!!!"
"I went in today on Monday, July 31st, 2023 and the racks in the men's section and it was half empty. Not sure if it's because of the lack of donations or they didn't have time to bring more articles of clothing out. Whatever the case may be I also saw a group of 3 young men that were at this thift store go to the other Goodwill in town. I'm guessing they couldn't find much either."
