"Awesome staff! Very attentive, helpful and great service. I've had a lot of oysters in my day and this place has some of the best. I will be returning next time I come back to Carmel. Thank you for a great experience. Update - just as good if not better! This time I ventured out from just the oysters and got the new banana old fashioned, oyster Po boy but the real show stopper was my wife's fish and chips... My goodness!! I highly recommend. Plus the t shirt I got was pretty awesome and "touristy" lol. Thank you again!!!"

"Stopped here for lunch at the suggestion of the hotel and it didn’t disappoint. Quaint place with a very cool old bar. Had cocktails and shared the avocado chicken sandwich. Food and drinks were great, bartender friendly and attentive. There seemed to be several locals eating here so you know it’s good."

"So the drinks are off the hook but the food was kinda disappointing. Even though the food tasted good it was definitely not prepared how the menu claims. For instance... all the oysters are pre shucked and sitting in bucket under the oyster bar. The Rockefellers were baked with parmesan cheese in a broiler. Menu said steamed with wine and garlic so I was disappointed to not get the full flavor. I watched what was supposed to be a steamed artichoke come right out of the pot of boiling water. The chefs really didn't seem to care much. Seemed more concerned on how to make a quick dish vs a quality "as advertised" meal. Would I go back... no. Would I recommend to anyone... no. It looks like it was a really good bar that decided to add food to the menu."
