"Absolutely horribly emergency experience here . My child had a pretty nasty gash on his head that would require stitches . We stayed in the waiting room from 345 until 1050, then we were finally moved to the back . From 1050 until 1230 is what it took to get two stitches . Oh the stitches themselves were fine and were nice quick and clean work . But even after that it took nearly 35 min just to discharge . And this was after the dr said they had already sent over the discharge papers . What a joke . All 9 hours of agonizing waiting room experience with all types of sick just for 2 stitches . And this was after the urgent care said they wouldn’t take him due to him being only 4."
"This was the best experience ever in a hospital. We were there with my daughter who has chronical ear pain. It was a Saturday and we were worried that we have to wait long and that there might be no specialist available. Since we were traveling we only had this one day in Memphis. The friendlyness at the reception was incredible. Everybody was very relaxed and took the time needed. Special thanks to Jonathan Jacobs and Amber Anderson who were so caring and answered all the questions we had. It is just a great team. Thanks"
"This is the worst children hospital in Memphis ever I advise anyone to not take their child there. I was with my sister with her little daughter my niece who had a ear infection. We been waiting for 2 hours and still couldn’t see a doctor while my niece crying in pain. The staff members are rude and arrogant very disrespectful and highly prejudice. They worried about wearing a mask but yet have mask on the ground and dirty seats, restrooms not very hygienic what’s so ever. And plus the teenagers are being seen more then the little children which is backwards. They are unorganized and very slow. That hospital needs to be investigated and shut down if they don’t do a better job. A child shouldn’t be waiting for countless of hours for God sake help these children and let them and their parents go home. Nowadays people are in for the MONEY and not the CARE NOR COMPASSION."
"Your child has to be practically dying for the doctors or nurse practitioners to care we need another emergency room in Memphis specifically for kids because this one is not it. My child had a mild case of pneumonia one time and because they didn’t want to do their job I almost missed it until I went somewhere else. The nurses are great tho."
"If I could give zero stars I would. I went around 8pm on a Sunday. It wasn’t busy at all. I lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes just sitting in the waiting room and finally when we got called back, we were placed in a room and by now it was like 12am like what? My child hasn’t been seen by anyone, absolutely no nurse or provider ever entered the room to say hey hello or anything. I had to leave around 1am because absolutely no one came in. The nurse had me sign paperwork saying I was leaving without being seen and I replied why would I want to be seen around almost 5 hours later and my child was even next in line. That was ridiculous. Y’all need new ER staff or new providers who can work fast. I was very disappointed."
