Ari Sushi & Tendon

"Came here 10 minutes after they opened and was able to be seated right away. I saw this place on Instagram a couple of times and since we were in the area we thought we would give this place a try. Ari sushi is known for their soft shell crab tendon so I had to get that and we also tried their bulgogi roll which was part of their winter special. The tempura was fantastic and one of the best I have had in the area. The bulgogi roll was unique but tasty as well. For me I love shrimp tempura so probably would get just the shrimp tendon next time. Water and tea are available next to each table to self serve and in addition there is ginger and pickled vegetables that you can eat as well. Both of our items came with a small salad, miso soup, and small mint shaved ice dessert which was good. Highly recommend giving this place a try, service is also excellent!"

"AMAZING soft shell crab. Please get it if you enjoy soft shell crab. The other tempura items are fried so well also. The Dragon sushi roll was much better than expected. I almost went back the next day to get everything again. $23 for soft shell crab is an amazing deal. I hope they don't raise the price or sacrifice the quality. They have a free dessert at the end! It's a delightful minty yuzu-y sorbet."

"Context: Party of 5 on Sat 11:30 AM Service & Atmosphere: Service is good — it’s mainly self-service (water, utensils, etc.) except for ordering food — and waiters were friendly and accommodating but sort of slow. You may have to flag down the waiters more often than usual. Food: The Ari Tendon was…oily? I prefer my tempura to be of a light fry but their tempura was more deep fried, so eating it felt very heavy compared to tempura from other JP restaurants. I was slightly disappointed by this - be aware of this. Would I recommend it? Probably not. The food themselves were cooked well, and the sherbet at the end of the meal was refreshing. Other people in my party recommended the sushi plates. Overall, slower service, heavily fried tempura."

"The food is great, love the tendon and freshness of sushi rolls. Tendon's rice portion is very little even for the standard order. It is quite confusing that a tendon store doesn't have tempura sauce, they served soy sauce when I asked for tempura sauce. It is a bit annoying that there are more employees than customers and yet they forgot our order, and forgot about our request for plates and sauce.. Food is great, but customer service need more improvements. And seriously, don't be so stingy with the rice!"
