Reviews of Sabio on Main
"We celebrated our friend's birthday, everyone went with 5 course. Weekend we went their menu changed to Cosmo, it was perfect, it was to everyone's liking, plus we all got to share each other's course choice. Prepare yourself for exquisite menu, my suggestion would be have lite lunch, it's a lot of food for 5 course meal. Have patience since dishes are spaced out, so you dont get overwhelmed and get to taste all the wonderful dishes. We were there for close to 2hrs, I had a great experience overall. Butternut Rugosa soup was my absolute favorite, buttery nutty and comforting. I really liked Sabio, definitely will go back for special occasion. Staff were very much involved with the presentation of each dish."
"Sabio on Main provides three course and five course prix fixe meals, and I was craving a nice night out. My husband had the peaches and cream donuts with almond sugar, stewed peaches, and peach pit bavarois, which I had one bite of that was enough to declare it possibly the best of the dishes of the evening. But they were all quite good. We both had the roasted chicken breast with apricot molasses glaze, grits, collards, and watermelon rind relish for our main courses. Those were some hefty chicken breasts! Closer to half chickens really. The relish reminded me of southern chow chow, and left a similar impression of forgettable flavor, which really, how much flavor do we expect from watermelon rind? Loved the crispiness of the chicken skin and the collards were perfectly done for my taste. My chef's gin and tonic was refreshing with St. George Botanivore, cucumber, lime, juniper, and lemon twist. The Green Bee Farm tomato salad was delicious, especially the gorgonzola crema and the flecks of black pepper from the walnuts in combination with the pluots. Finally, my own dessert: the Vahlrona chocolate flan with toasted marshmallow meringue and graham crackle streusel. This is one of the few s'mores desserts that really got the concept right with the toastiness of that meringue and the bold chocolate flavor."
"My husband and I wanted to try something different but have a course sit down for our 15 year anniversary. When searching Sabio popped up, so I scheduled reservations. I followed up with an email just to let them know what we were celebrating. To my surprise I was emailed back right away, and was given a few options on extras to celebrate. Today 7/29 was our reservations, and we were not disappointed. The good was exceptional in the 5 course. My husband whom does not care for duck loved it. I cannot even decide what was the best as all of it was scrumptious. We love the decor and the setting of the dinning room. From the hostess, to our server Ruben, and the support staff we had the best service we have ever had. Me being a manager of customer service I cannot express what it is like to receive exceptional service. Thank you to all the staff at Sabio."
"It was our anniversary. We had 10-course chef tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was ok. 4 appetizers were really good, main dishes: quail and baked brie was perfect, but fish was very oversalted and ravioli was way too doughy. The pairing wasn't provided for at least half of the courses, we had to purchase the appropriate wine to pair with first 3 appetizers and a brie. I find it ridiculous. On top of that atmosphere in the restaurant was kind of bland... I wouldn't recommend this place if you have a special occasion or already tried other Michelin places like The Kitchen, Lazy Bear or French Laundry. The food, service and atmosphere doesn't cost THAT money we paid. And our total was more than $520!"
