Reviews of The Pastaria & Market
"Best fettuccine I’ve ever had! It comes with chicken and sun dried tomatoes. The gnocchi & Brie + garlic dip was also amazing. Service was decent and the outside seating with the fireplace lit is the best spot to sit! Will be coming back. Make sure to make a reservation."
"My wife loves pasta, and I wanted to find her something a little more special, so I decided we would try here for a birthday dinner. Slam dunk choice really: What a fantastic little pasteria! The fresh pasta really shines through and puts the dried stuff to shame. We loved both our pasta dishes, the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream sauce and Pasta Primavera. I imagine it's probably hard to go wrong with any of their pasta, on top of the fresh pasta, the seasonings and cooks were perfection. For appetizers the Melted Brie & Roasted Garlic is to die for, and something I now definitely want to try myself at home. I do recommend they fully cut the bread served with it, the whole half cut "boat" thing was awkward to deal with. The Polenta Fries were also good, especially with the Calabrian Pepper Jelly, but we felt the fries themselves needed a little more salt. And for dessert we were a little disappointed with the Olive Oil Pistachio Cake (still decent), but the Gelatos were top notch! This place is now on our radar and I suspect we'll be coming back soon."
"One of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. I try my hardest to come here when I am in town. I have eaten here a few times per year and every single time it has been amazing. The staff is absolutely amazing. The owner Donna is usually there and I was a little shocked how the last few times she said hi to my family and knew who we were. So it does get busy and it’s a small place. I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation. Weston is hands down the best waiter I have ever had. If at all possible ask for him. Both cooks make incredible food. I always get the pasta primavera, but anything on the menu will blow your mind! Please eat here if you are ANYWHERE near here. I know live in another state and have dreams about the food here and whenever I am in town I try to eat here. This month, December of 2023 I ate here twice while visiting family for the holidays and both times were perfect. They make their pasta from scratch daily, they respect and work with people who have food allergies or sensitives. Two of my family don’t eat gluten and their gluten free pasta is not only the best around, but they will boil it separately and they have gluten free crackers for the appetizers. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Even if you are gluten free. It’s amazing."
"Weston is a phenomenal server! Donna, the owner, was sweet enough to seat us (party of 6) without a reservation on Saturday night!? She was lovely and chatted with us a bit and made us feel at home. Now, the food… OMG, everything was great; the truffle pasta, burrata pizza, brussel sprouts, bolognese, artichoke dip YUMMY!! True Italian food made with love!! Highly recommend."
"Great atmosphere and excellent location, right in the heart of Los Gatos downtown. I recommend making a reservation to get a table, this place does get busier so walking are gonna be hard. The food was good but we didn’t get the authentic Italian taste, the flavors were lacking to be honest. We have been to other Italian places recently and we had much more flavorful margherita pizza which wasn’t the case here. The chili garlic bread didn’t really have any chili in it. The pasta sauce was really amazing, loved the taste of it. Overall it’s a good restaurant but I wish the pizza was more flavorful."
