"I am at a loss for words to express my experience at this location. I've been a patron since childhood, under the original ownership. However, the new management has drastically altered prices, lacks kindness, and provides poor customer service. Today, I made a purchase of three items, including a vegetarian sandwich, which was incorrectly prepared. While in the car with my partner, I noticed the sandwich was missing veggies. I promptly called to inform them and returned to the establishment. The server assured me they would prepare a new sandwich. As I waited, I observed the owner berating the server who took my order, although a language barrier left me unsure of the specifics. Another customer calmly expressed dissatisfaction with their incorrectly made drink, only to be attacked by the owner instead of being listened to. Shocked by this behavior, I hoped to swiftly resolve my own situation. However, when my food arrived, it was tossed on the counter. Instead of remaking the sandwich, they haphazardly added the missing veggies to the original, flawed sandwich. Confused, I called the owner seeking clarification, only to be met with more yelling. Despite trying to explain the missing veggies and the additional payment for tofu, avocado, and bread, I was not allowed to speak. The owner interrupted, gaslighted, and embarrassed me in front of other customers who seemed indifferent to a minority woman facing unwarranted aggression for a mistake they made. Fearing a misrepresentation, I called my partner, who witnessed the owner's aggressive demeanor upon arrival. Concerned for our safety, I began recording the interaction. Eventually, I received a refund, accompanied by the owner's dismissive laughter and holiday wishes. I am utterly speechless about today's experience, feeling hurt and disgusted by the mistreatment. This is not an isolated incident, and I firmly believe Che lo needs to improve. Every individual should be treated with respect, customers should be heard, and accountability should be taken for errors without blaming loyal patrons. I have decided never to return to this establishment. *on yelp there’s a video"
"I'm supposed to drink jelly and taro balls without straw??? Imagine if even a cup would need to be a special request, they could deliver the liquid you order in their palm and say that you didn't request a paper cup. These people are illogical."
"Sent no straw with my drink. I ended up tossing their drink in the trash I'm not gonna drink it by hand. Deserves negative rating."
"I was excited for this place and thought it would be cool for one to have a dessert. I believe the $8 price point for what you receive is rather disappointing. I ordered a Che-Lo Special and a make your special. Unfortunately, this place would serve you spoilt jackfruit in the dessert and still sell you at this price and they made me feel that they were so busy when I was the only customer in the store. Please do not walk but run from this location."
"I really wanted to like this place but service was bad :( I’ll try to give it another chance so I’ll update if that changes. I came here a few years back and I loved it, however I recently came back and it was totally different. I asked to make my own Che and the lady in the store told me they didn’t have young coconut. I said ok, and asked for something else. A few minutes later someone else (that is also Vietnamese) asked for a young coconut drink and she gave it to her. I didn’t say anything and proceed to pay. She said that because I’m paying with card it was a $1 fee, which usually most places is .10 or max .50 cents. The drink was okay but the whole time I kept thinking how I wasn’t treated fairly."
