Reviews of SGD Tofu House
"Embarked on our first Korean restaurant experience, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The staff's hospitality was exceptional. Opted for something new and were thoroughly satisfied with our choices—crab soft tofu and stir-fried udon for two. The array of sides accompanying the soft tofu was already overwhelming—included rice, egg, noodles, sprouts, kimchi, squid pickle, potato, and carrot. The soft tofu, served sizzling in a cast iron bowl, was flavorful and featured perfectly cooked crab. The stir-fried udon was a culinary delight, bursting with the right flavors. Despite being too full, we had to pack it to go. Highly recommend this restaurant to satiate your taste buds. Note that hot was good enough for stir fried udon but on the spicier side for soft tofu. Choose the spiciness accordingly."
"Great place for Korean authentic food. We had the Crab set and comes with the soft tofu. A variety of Korean side dishes. Overall, great Korean food and tofu is especially great to go with the cold weather. Will come back to try out other dishes."
"I brought my Korean friend and she told me the spicy rice cake is delicious but the Tofu dish was just ok and not great. The tofu came first and we waited long for the spicy rice cake which is supposed to be an appetizer. Maybe skipped the appetizer and focus on the tofu."
"I love their Kimchi Bibimbap served on sizzling iron plate, crispy rice at the bottom, so yummy. We also had fish roe tofu soup, good as always. The BBQ beef is a bit sweet but boys like it. Decent food and attentive service."
"Best bibimbap and korean seafood pancake in bay area in my opinion. The portions are monster size for both dishes. For bibimbap, you add the korean sauce yourself, and stir everything together with the sizzling pan underneath. The aroma is fantastic. If you don’t like the RAW egg being added on the top like us, you could ask for the fried egg. It is raw egg by default. The seafood pancake is filled with ingredients, with the crust being very crispy. Very recommended!"
