"The server was able to answer all of our questions about the food very kindly. We didn't have to wait a long time for our food to be delivered to us. All of our different dishes tasted very authentically delicious !"
"Steak (carne esada) is really bad quality with a lot of fat mixed, beans were very watery with no flavor, waitress was rude and overwhelmed. There is definately other better mexican food restaurants in the neighborhood."
"The food at La Paloma is delicious. I really love their plates of enchiladas with green salsa. The salsa they give with the complimentary chips is on the spicy side, yet it is really good. I also like their aguas frescas. They are really friendly so the customer service is great. I recommend La Paloma for its great Mexican food and amazing service! One of the best spots for Mexican food!!"
"The restaurant sits on a corner right across from The Artichoke Casino. I ordered the special on Fridays, the Pozole, chips and salsa are served when you take a seat, once the Pozole arrived I noticed that it was a bit warm, I like my food hot, the Pozole was served with sliced cabbage, onions, radishes and lime along two of the house tostadas and a bottle of house hot sauce, I only tried a few drops of the salsa that had that Ghost Pepper feeling to it…the heat stays with you even after 10/15 minutes pass by all around your palate. The broth was flavorful and included plenty of hominy, the pork chunks were pretty good. The service ladies did a great job taking care of the customers. I will definitely return when in the area next time around."
"Atmosphere is not that appealing but thats because the food is pretty damn amazing. A hidden gem right up historic San Mateo Ave. Sits on the corner right behind the Casino which towers over all the smaller shops. Service was very accommodating and food comes out sizzling hot with super cold beer on display near the cashier area. 2 pacíficos, guacamole and chips and 3 asada tacos later, I left happy, content, and already wanting to come back."
