"The atmosphere was great and the food arrived faster than any IHOP I’ve been too. Customer service was alright. Our waiter was Roberto and he came off a little rude/impatient when taking our orders. He was probably having a bad day. He appeared to be warmer toward the end."
"IHOP’s eggs benedict menu is extraordinary. Their poached eggs are one of a kind. Their roasted cherry tomatoes are amazing. Lemon Ricotta Crepes for dessert are always welcomed."
"The server named Milton made the entire experience awful. As I walked in, I saw a sign that said “please wait to be seated”. Then a guy comes near the cash register area and doesn’t even acknowledge that there were new customers that are standing by the entrance waiting to be seated. His back is towards us. So, I called out for his attention as it looked like there was only him working, so I said do we have to seat ourselves? Then he just points to sign and I have no idea what that means. He then ignores me. This lady then comes from the back and seats us where I tell her about the rude interaction with Milton. Milton now end up being our server. The chicken tenders were over fried and basically burnt. The steak was ok. Portion size was too little, I left there hungry. We then ask for the bill and I go up to pay where Milton is cashing us out. I pay the exact amount of the check and I told him the I’m not tipping him because of the attitude that he had earlier. This man doesn’t say sorry or to hear my point, no customer service skills obviously. We then start talking loud discussing why he had attitude and he said that I had attitude and when I ask him how, he doesn’t answer my question. He said that he told me to wait to be seated. This man with his earmuffs on did not utter any words to me when I initially entered the restaurant. We were a party of two and the other guest with me can confirm his attitude. Anyway, at this time we are literally rowing in front of other customers in the whole restaurant. The other lady working came to the cash register and said sorry again on behalf of Milton. We are very disappointed only in town for a few days after flying from an international destination, we were just needed food, but did not expect to also get attitude and no customer service on our first interaction with SFO people. Milton should get better training or just be let go if he continues to fight with customers in the manner that he did. Milton picture attached. Avoid any interaction with him if possible."
"Pretty standard quality of food compared to other IHOPs around. Service is prompt and efficient. Crowded compared to other restaurants in the area. Always enjoy the sirloin tips with eggs and hash browns. Pancakes are soft and fluffy but always wish they would serve them a little later so they are still warm after eating the main course."
"I have to say I LOVE IHOP when it’s good. Typically my experiences have been okay, but this was not typical. I went to this IHOP three times while on my trip to San Francisco. Each time I had great service, great food, and enjoyed each meal immensely. The restaurant was also very clean. Working in restaurants my whole life I understand what happens when things are not clean. If the standards are bad in the bathrooms or dining room the same standards are usually the same in the kitchen. Everything was spotless. Whatever this location is doing for it’s staff please keep it up because this was a great place to eat some yummy comfort food. I also want to add that I felt 100% safe. The news makes San Francisco sound like a horrible place, but I was here two weeks and never felt unsafe. Thanks for listening and if you’re visiting this is a nice place for those of us who need a chain restaurant experience every once in awhile. :)"
