"I came by here while visiting a friend - we got to the restaurant around 7:30pm. The restaurant, on the outside, was very unassuming, however, upon entering, you find a warm and inviting dining interior. There are few booth seats near the entrance, with semi-see through privacy curtains. There was only one party of 2 ahead of us when we got there, but it was still a good 15-20 minute wait. We were seated in the back dining area, and got some drink orders in, as well as an order of spicy edamame. I ended up ordering the stir fried chicken gizzard, which came out sizzling on a serving tray. The gizzard was a bit tougher than I was expecting, but the flavor was good and paired well with the rice and beer. Not too bad overall, but I wish they had wifi, since their menu is via QR code, and signal is very spotty at the back dining room. They did have some printed menus on hand, but we ended up having to ask for them, since neither of us managed to get enough signal to view the online menu."
"Food was amazing! No offense San Francisco but it’s hard to find good Korean food in the city. Toyose reminded me of my childhood and I especially love the corn cheese—very cheesy and very buttery! The spam stew was amazing as well! I just wish they had added beans for the authenticity budae jjigae. I had tried 3 cocktail sojus. The mango, kiwi, and lychee. The best one had to be the kiwi. I recommend it!! The spicy edamame was not really worth getting but the kimchi pancake was pretty good! The whole experience was nice and the restaurant is clean and the servers were all attentive and efficient! Will come back again :)"
"Had dinner here on my trip to ocean beach. Got the kimchi soup and it was delicious. The lady’s working there were super nice as well. Seems like a very traditional Korean menu wish I could’ve gone again and tried some more items. Highly recommend."
"Flavorful and fresh ingredients in the Seafood stew. There were shrimp (ones with heads and ones without), crab, fish, tofu, squid, mussels, and clams. It was packed full with seafood. The kimchi pancake was also really good."
"hidden gem tucked away in an outer sunset garage serving classic korean dishes and drinks in a lively background full of other groups of friends having fun. although the food wasn’t top tier, it was still pretty good and great to pair with reasonably priced drinks and fun vibes. compared to standard bar food, it definitely exceeds that. open late night but be prepared to wait over an hour on weekends. would come back to bring some friends! seafood pancake: large portion, was decent but wouldn’t get again. maybe try kimchi pancake. soon tofu soup: decent dish but wish it was spicier. corn cheese: can’t go wrong with this appetizer. chicken wings: nice and crispy but needed some sauce. yogurt soju cocktail: delicious at a great price!"
