"For me, San Mateo has always been a town I drive past while on my way to some other place. My pal Rossmoore Straightshaft had just moved his production facility from Santa Monica to San Mateo to be closer to his customer base. He promises me the best Italian sandwiches in the country from the Roma Deli for my help setting up his Plattromitor machine so he can get busy making those Wallydoodles and Wacknutters. I'll tell you....nothing beats a good old fashioned Italian submarine sandwich, and the Rona Deli makes about the best out there. ☆☆☆☆☆"

"was in the mood for a sandwich and after reading some reviews decided to come in and try. i was greeted and assisted with my order by a really nice man. i got the new york. it was delicious as well as the potato salad. i ended up getting a large and it was huge. you can really tell they care with the quality of food and service they’re giving."

"Ordered two sandwiches from here today both the same. Large Pepper Turkey cheddar everything on it. Toasted. Sourdough bread and take the bread out of the middle. The flavors are delicious, I really enjoyed the sandwich. One sandwich did not have enough meat, it was mostly lettuce and veggies. Otherwise, I thought it was a delicious and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a sandwich."
