"Bustling Chinese restaurant that is very popular with locals. Not a lot of tables, so it fills up fast. Small parking lot makes it different to find a spot. Expected more from the food, as everything was a bit sweeter than expected. Fast and friendly service."
"Revisited after a long absence. A 10-person banquet dinner. The Chicken Lettuce Cup, which IMO is a signature dish, was very good. Hot & Sour Soup also did not overwhelm with vinegar (as is often the case). Also appreciated how finely they sliced the chicken in the Chicken with Snow Peas dish, which delivered tender chicken breast meat in a lightly flavored dish where you can taste the 2 main ingredients. However, in much of the rest of the banquet (beef, fish, prawns, etc.), all the flavors converged. Everything had way-too-intense, thickened sweet sauce that masked the food. The dishes didn't offer separate, distinct flavoring that, to me, is the foundation of a good Chinese banquet. The seafood was fresh but overtaken by the sauce(s). Half of the Prawns in Two Styles, for example, had a nice, light touch on the one side, but an overwhelming ketchup-laced sauce on the other that ruined that half of the "two styles." This place has existed since before Silicon Valley was awash with Asians and distinct Asian restaurants, and the food they offer up has been made to suit a Western palate unfamiliar with what authentic means."
"Food is good. Service is so so. I arrived early and was asked to wait at the seating area at the front door until they are fully open. That was fine until I saw they put at least two groups of people in and reluctant to seat me at my table. I had to ask if I could sit at my table myself. We ordered lots of food. I would say this time it is a bit on the salty side. But I will still visit next time I’m in the area."
"So this was the first time I'd ever come to this place. The decor and the atmosphere is very friendly and Light. The family that run the place were very vocal and very welcoming and very engaging with the customers that were there. The service was impeccable and the food came out pretty fast considering how busy the place was. With that being said, the food was just mediocre. I had the Singapore noodles and the barbecue pork fried rice. The barbecue pork fried rice was very Bland and did not contain a large amount of meat or other vegetables in it it was mostly rice. For the price I felt like it should have more meat and vegetables, and the Singapore Street noodles were really good but they were only lukewarm and they were cold within about 5 minutes. I feel like if you're going to serve dishes that they should stay warm because they're coming out of the play hot not coming out of the plate lukewarm and then getting cold really fast. All in all, I will give this place another shot but I probably won't be ordering the things I did before even though they are some of my favorite dishes."
"We are new in the area and we are from Asia so of course I cannot compare. Food here in general is on the sweet side. I can’t blame them, the food here adapted to the culture which is why locals patronize them, and the result is, the place is always packed. And I mean PACKED, there is a wait, takeout table (where people pick up food) is so full. They won’t let you hangout once you finish your meal because the next round of customers are already waiting. Good for them; more success and blessing for your business. That said. I think we found our go to Chinese resto here in the area. We’ll be back for sure."
