The Habit Burger Grill 305 Gellert Boulevard, Daly City, CA 94015

"My son and I had an occasion to visit the Habit Burger Grill. I had a gift card for the occasion. We initially waited at the register while another customer had and issue with their order. After waiting, we were told that We needed to place our order at a computer and they would not accept our order at the register. After we completing our order, I attempted to pay at the computer, but it would not accept a gift card. We returned to the register and waited another several minutes to place our order. I finally was able to get someone's attention to wait on me. I've never had this problem at In-n-Out Hamburgers, which is right across the street. After we completed our meal, I spoke to the manager "Paul" about our experience. He was sympathetic and understanding and said that our order should have been received at the register. My opinion this is no way to run a business."

"Reliably tasty burgers and fries paired with great service has made this one of my favorite fast food spots in the area. They're always efficient in taking and serving orders. Food comes hot and delicious not long after you order it, and the tables and other dining surfaces are clean. The staff are always hustling and doing their best by customers. I was inspired to finally leave them a review after watching a manager de-escalate a frustrated customer with thoughtfulness and care. Overall a great spot for a quick bite near the mall."

"The patty tastes like chewy salted shoe leather; they're pre-cooked to near carbon & not made to order (you can see them stacked up high on the side of the grill). Buns & toppings are OK, so are the milkshakes. Not thrilled with this place; they'd do a lot better away from the bay area- somewhere with little to no high-end burger competition."

"I had a craving for a hamburger so I decided to try The Habit. When I asked for a hamburger to be cooked medium rare, I was told that they only cook them well done. I told him to cook it as rare as he could. I also ordered fries and a shake. When I got home with the food, I opened the wrapping and chopped lettuce fell out all over my kitchen floor and counter. I would expect that from Burger King but not for a supposedly high-end burger. The meat was cooked well done and it seemed very small, certainly not a third of a pound. The fries had so much salt shaken on them I I couldn't eat them. The whole thing was a greasy mess. The milkshake however was very good. I wouldn't recommend The Habit. There are many better choices in the area."

"First time here and received the best customer service on Tuesday. I saw the name tag read “Denis” and the young guy re-read my custom order, got it right and food was ready with-in 10 minutes. Really made my experience great when Denis brought our food to the table for my Grandma. The entire interaction was well received and the indoor dining was perfect, clean and they played great music. Will be back soon!"
