Pinecrest Diner

"Decent diner that hit the spot during a late-night excursion. Small diner with nice vibe and atmosphere. Decent service despite being busy. They had some issues with payment and their machine being down and didn’t follow up with our table for a while, but other than that, service was welcoming. Had a burger with fries. Very tasty, reasonably priced. Food - 13/20 Service - 6/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Total - 26/40"

"A solid diner for breakfast. It is the second time I come and I do not regret it. The food is really good. The pancakes are huge (big and thick) and delicious, served with good maple syrup and butter. I also appreciate the fact that there is non-pork versions of bacon, such as turkey or vegetarian, which are very good. The service is great and quick, with very friendly waitresses. My only complaint is is that the prices are a bit too high for what it is: 30$ per person for a simple breakfast."

"Came here on a Monday early lunch and our wait time was only about five minutes for four of us. We were quickly seated and the menu was a good selection to look at. They seem quite busy, which was a good sign of good business! It took a little bit to be able to put in our order with how hectic it was, but I can't blame them for that. Orange juice was delicious with no pulp. All our meals were all delicious and we all pretty much ate our plates clean. Potatoes. I wish my potatoes and eggs were just seasoned a little bit before they got to me as I had to add a good amount of salt and pepper to them. Toast was delicious and a perfect plate to hold a little bite of all the things I had. Bathrooms are a little strange as they are in the back down the stairs, and it feels like you just keep walking, and they're all the way down to the right. I like finding diners still around with that authentic feel to it. It's funny they have signs that say it 24 hour while they have a piece of paper on the door stating a few days where they are not open 24 hour. Overall great spot, and I definitely wouldn't be opposed coming back!"

"I must say, my experience was mixed. While the ambiance had a classic diner charm, the space felt a bit cramped. The menu offered a good variety of breakfast options. I ordered pancakes and eggs, which were cooked perfectly, but the coffee was just average. Service was friendly but a little slow, likely due to the morning rush. Overall, it's a decent spot for a traditional American breakfast, but don't expect anything out of the ordinary."

"A typical American diner, serving up great food fast but with awesome service and a lovely buzzing atmosphere! We both had the hangover plate on our first visit - mine with sourdough toast & fried eggs while himself had rye & scrambled eggs. Both were delicious and if we were hungover would certainly have provided a suitable cure!! We returned on our second morning and this time I had chorizo scrambled eggs while himself had the Denver omelette. Again, both were really tasty. Portions are huge, coffee refills are flowing and service is tops! Definitely a great substantial way to start a day of tourist activities in San Francisco"
