"This mainstay of San Francisco cuisine, serves high-class food as comfort food, and at diner food prices. Run by ex convicts transitioning back into the work force, through culinary training, the place is beautiful to look at, and gun to eat at. I've heard various opinions about the food, so I'd stick with the basics. After enjoying a harvest salad, We ordered the ribeye with finger potatoes, the Portoli sole with mashed potatoes, and the scallops with snap peas, which were overdone a bit, but still tasted good. My paloma, (a drink made with mezcal) was really strong! We finished with the Key Lime pie, Valrohna chocolate lava cake, and the Tiramisu. The staff is super friendly, and the prices were AMAZING. This is great option for dining in the embarcadero area, but also a great place to impress a date on a budget. Fine dining meets diner food, or "Fine Diner" I recommend it! INSIDE TIP: The focaccia bread here is to die for, super soft and yummy you might want to take some home."
"I think you can recognize the amazing work that this organization does while also being honest about the experience you will get at the restaurant. The food was very mediocre but generously portioned. The wait staff were all very friendly but we had to ask for water, our check, and for our card to be returned after paying. If you’re lucky, there’s a nice view of the bay bridge from the front window seating."
"Beautifully set along the Embarcadero with great views of the Bay Bridge and water, Delancey Street served up a delicious brunch with great service at an amazing price. The food was all very fresh and the menu had so many great options. Bonus was supporting a legendary organization doing so much good for its participants. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!"
"I dined here with 2 other friends one weekend afternoon and it was pretty chill. Not very busy and we got seated outside. Note that since this is on the waterfront slightly, it could get windy and chilly even though there are some heaters. The food didn't take too long to come out. We had bruschetta which was pretty simple nothing too extraordinary. Also ordered the Singaporean noodles which was pretty spicy for me, the half chicken which was normal, the pesto pasta which was pretty nice, and a large veggie bowl. Overall food was not that impressive though there is large variety. Coming here to support the mission of this restaurant is what's more important to me and so I encourage others to visit this place as well! It's located in a nice neighborhood with good walking area afterwards."
"In town from GA, Brother was in the Hospital. He was discouraged and suggested we have lunch here. What a beautiful, relaxing spot to enjoy your meal. Right across the street from the Bay. There is plenty of parking, close to transit and ferry. Staff were very professional and very friendly. Inside and outside dining. We sat outside and just enjoyed the warm sunshine and cool breeze. The menu, well, there's something for everyone. The portions are extremely filling. The price was very reasonable. I do believe you can bring your 4-legged friend as well if you dine outside. Of course, there are no restrictions for service dogs. You got to check this place out, breakfast lunch, or dinner. Also, take the time to read about the history of this remarkable establishment. To the entire staff, keep up the great work. Thank you for what you have done in the past and what you are doing."
