"I have the sweetest memories in this restaurant with my partner and friend. Our dinner was spectacular!!! I wish I had the space for dessert! They looked delicious! Our appetizers and main were outstanding! Highly recommended!"
"Okay so for $75 for a one person meal I expect great service and even better food. The Seafood Risotto Gordan Ramsy would have thrown out not even offering it to his pets. There were so many shell pieces broken off and mixed in the rice I was constantly crunching on them. The bread roll was crunchy on the outside but not fully cooked on the inside but being honest I liked it and the flavor was mostly there. No salt and pepper on the tables. Wait staff kept forgetting to bring me my drink took 2 staff members 3 trips just to get some extra lemon for my fish. Now the battered fish was actually great though the coleslaw was pretty to look at but bland as bland can get. Having to reason for my Tea over and over for it too take 10 plus minutes just wasn't efficient. The French fries were cooked perfectly. The thing that was cool was they Validate your parking for one hour at Pier 39 parking. They need to do a way better job on keeping the shells whole with the clams and not broken up throughout the Risotto. The price they pay the chefs they should be able to find ones that love their job and wouldn't let Risotto be over cooked, pasty, and liable to chip your teeth on. Nor allow Coleslaw to taste like your kids threw it together with a jar of Hellman's and way too much mayo. The food plating was on point though giving credit where it's due. Also the way the snooty patrons glanced at the children that were there and not just one patron but many with their nose way too high in the air. Just I'd never bring my kids there because I'd end up saying something about their nose being that high in the air they trying to smell skydaddys butt? Plus for the kind of money spent it felt like way too rushed an atmosphere and you still had to wait forever. Apparently the owners own all three of the big restaurants there. I suggest they take a long look by going and tasting the food themselves first hand and maybe trying to foster a more friendly relaxing atmosphere. Sincerely not impressed"
"I came to Fog Harbor since it’s one of the most rated restaurants in SF and I’m glad I checked it out. They have a wide variety of seafood as well as steaks, salad, and sandwiches. There was something for everyone at my company’s dinner and everything was good overall. Food I ordered a special steak with crab meat layered on top and it was excellent. The steak was cooked well and was juicy and tender. I loved that the crab meat was all on top so that I did not have to peel anything at all. The mashed potatoes was creamy and super good. The greens were also sautéed well. For table appetizers we got the red chili garlic shrimp, salad, and ceviche from the special menu. The red chili garlic shrimp is kind of spicy but I would recommend it! For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and the dessert duo. I liked the tiramisu since it’s one of my favorite dishes, but they were both delicious and sweet. Atmosphere The restaurant is located on Pier 39 so you can get a good view of the bay during the day. Casual or fancy wear. The interior was nice and there’s a good mix of booth or table seating, as well as outside seating. The noise level was not too loud and we had a good company dinner here. Pricing Pricing is average for a seafood restaurant and is actually nice if you pay to dine in. I expected to pay more since this is SF (I’m from Seattle) and spot on the pier but overall not too pricey. Service Service was excellent and the server was able to make good recommendations for the table. Food came out quickly and everything was to order. Other Located on the second floor of Pier 39 so be sure to look up and at my picture of the entrance. There is paid parking I think but my group just took a Lyft there. Great view and also things to do around."
"Busy place. Expect to wait. Window seats seemed really nice with the view and all. Food is great. Clam chowder is so good just as expected since it is an award winning clam chowder, but scallop was impressive as well. We also ordered a whole crab too but it was okay (didn't take a photo though) Overall nice service! Nice place to eat at pier39!"
"It was so busy when we arrived and were told it was going to be a 20 min wait. 7 min later we were seated at the window overlooking the bay. It’s Fleet Week in SF-so we had a front row seat the Blue Angels and their air show. The service was prompt and our server was so friendly. The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the Alcatraz Escape cocktail which was delicious. Bruschetta for a starter, which had great flavor. My husband ordered the mix grill and I ordered the halibut. We both loved our choices. Th e sauce with the Halibut was out of this world-so flavorful and satisfying. We finished dinner off with a shared strawberry shortcake. The “biscuit” was a cross between a biscuit and a cream puff shell. The cream was so smooth and the strawberries fresh. Would give it 12 stars out of 10. Definitely recommend. ."
