"We feel a bit ripped off. Nice looking interior. Order/pay/tip before you sit down. Food is good but a bit bland. Service is lacking (no incentive to work for pre-paid tip): apps and mains arrived together, no check back, no offer of another round of drinks. Staff standing around chatting the whole time in nearly empty restaurant. Would tip after the meal next time or maybe give something more appropriate to a take out counter size tip."

"Great service and warm, coveted outdoor dining even on a rainy, windy night - very nice outside: Very good Steak Fajitas with delicious black beans, fresh guacamole, hot rice, sour cream and steaming corn tortillas. Frees corn chips with a delicious black bean (?) Molcajete salsa. Pay in advance - fast, efficient service. $40, including tip and a beer."

"I'll start with the postives! Super cute stop on the way up to the beach. Not an outrageous price point. Beautiful plating. Everything comes with a small side salad. However...The flavors all around could have been much more intense/interesting. The plantains over beans were good but I would have preferred savory plantains rather than sweet. I would not order the chile rellenos again, it was too soupy (way too much salsa), barely filled with cheese and squash, and I couldn't even tell that it had been fried it was sadly pretty soggy. I reccomend adding rice to the filling to give it more structure and substance, as well as much less salsa over the top. My boyfriend got the red snapper tacos. He said the fish was great but again the flavors were just lacking."

"Taco Jane's is easily the most bland, generic Mexican food I've ever eaten. No flavor whatsoever! Ordered the Fajita Mixed plate with chicken and shrimp. Shrimp no flavor, chicken no flavor, onions/peppers no flavor. Black beans were served COLD, rice no flavor either. Servers were good, which is why I'm giving 2 stars. The food is beyond forgettable. Strongly do not recommend eating here"

Not typical Mexican but more southern Mexico Oaxaca style. whole Black beans roasted black salsa get the Mateo cake roasted blue corn meal delicious. Fresh Aguas Frescas. The owner almost always there a unique fun place hidden gem in San Anselmo"
